Yeah I don't think its a bad signing for the Jets, just funny they are taking CCM main (only) striker.

The Newcastle Herald understands the Jets are also in advanced talks with Melbourne Victory fullback Daniel Georgievski.
The Mariners have offered the Irish striker nearly double what he is currently on, but The World Game has learned that is still way out of the ball-park of what he can earn elsewhere.
There was speculation late on Friday that O'Donovan had signed with Newcastle, which both his manager, Paddy Dominguez, and the Jets denied.
The World Game understands offers from Newcastle, Brisbane Roar, Western Sydney Wanderers and Adelaide United are all fairly similar financially.
In a two-year deal, he would earn over $200,000 more than he would get by staying at Central Coast.
The Mariners are also understood to be considering making an offer for goalkeeper Ben Kennedy from Newcastle Jets as a replacement for the departing Paul Izzo.
Meanwhile, defender Jacob Pepper is set to re-sign with Brisbane Roar.
Missed this from last week
Meanwhile, the Jets are in talks with former Socceroo Michael Thwaite about joining the club next season and are also understood to be interested in Victory winger Fahid Ben Khalfallah.
MELBOURNE City and Sydney FC could swoop for star attacker James Troisi, whose Melbourne Victory future remains in limbo.
City and Sydney FC have marquee positions opening up next season, and both are understood to have discussed the prospect of Troisi joining them next season.

Would Roly get marquee status at another club?
Big loss for us, but as mentioned his form this season has been less than expected - still I would have loved to have seen him in the right system with us.

Not a chance.
BEN Kennedy never imagined playing for anyone but the Newcastle Jets.
But an opportunity to re-establish himself as a first-choice keeper at the Central Coast Mariners was an opportunity too good to knock back.
Kennedy on Friday agreed to terms on a one-deal with a year option at the Mariners, bringing an end to 10-year association with the Jets.
The Jets had offered the 30-year-old, who ruptured his Achilles in the pre-season, a one year extension.
The Jets deal was slightly less than the Mariners, but the decision to head down the freeway was more football-based.
With Paul Izzo departing the Mariners for Adelaide, Kennedy will get first shot at the No.1 spot. Jack Duncan is entrenched in goals at the Jets and is in talks about extending his contract.

Sydney FC are determined to keep marquee Bobo at the club for next season and are confident of reaching an agreement over a new marquee deal despite European clubs circling for his signature.
Meanwhile, the Sky Blues are understood to have pulled out of the race to sign Australian international defender Rhys Williams, leaving Melbourne Victory as the sole club still in pursuit of the versatile 28-year-old.

Yeah he needs a straight iron.
O’Donovan has been tipped to join rivals Newcastle Jets, and while a solemn Okon could not say which club, he confirmed the Irishman was headed for the exit.
ONCE the scourge of the Newcastle defence, former Mariners striker Roy O’Dovonan will now have the chance to be the Jets' saviour in front of goals.O’Donovan has agreed to terms on a two-year deal and is expected to put pen to paper on Wednesday.

BRISBANE Roar legend Thomas Broich will leave the club at the end of the season, The Courier-Mail can reveal.
Yet to be guaranteed another contract from Brisbane coach John Aloisi, Broich will look elsewhere in the hope of extending his playing career.
Less than three weeks ago, Broich told The Courier-Mail he was shelving retirement plans to continue playing – preferably with the Roar – beyond this season.
O'Donovan has signed a two-year deal with Newcastle with Izzo expected to join Adelaide United.
