A-League Streaming Service
It is streaming only right? TFC Fan was looking for a way to watch games but on demand, rather than streaming.
As far as I could see, it's only streaming.
The help section implies "highlights where available" but that could mean anything and certainly doesn't sound like on-demand. Is this thing even official at all - seems like a pretty dodgy site...looks bad and also has a range of dead links etc. Scam?
There also seem to be two options?
Any one know the difference between these:
$69.99 : 12 Month Access to LIVESPORT A-League for $69.99, repeating at $69.99 a year until cancelled
$72.99 : 12 Month Access to LIVESPORT Soccer for $72.99, repeating at $72.99 a year until cancelled
$3 more for "soccer" rather than A-league
Yeah I'm tempted by this. Would be interested by what the quality of the stream's like though. And would prob just go month to month.

They have a range of other sports the televise, have a look at the schedule
The rugby championship was on this site too.
seriously how many people outside of NZ/Aus would pay to watch the a-league though? the NRL has free streaming in good quality http://new.livestream.com/nrl
I'll never understand why Sky does not offers a stream for cash for A-League games (my guess is, that Sky think in old business models and we have to wait a few more years before they catch up with reality). I'll would easy pay good money for that the occasional live game streamed, on demand. But there is no way that I get a whole Sky package with all the garbage just to watch a Nix game every other week.
Says they have these leagues and matches:
https://secure.soccer.livesport.tv/buy
Subscribe to this exclusive offer and you will gain access to the following leagues:
- Campeonato Brasileiro
- Uruguayan Primera Division
- Ecuadorian Primera A
- AFC
- Bolivian Torneo Adecuacion
- Chilean Primera Division
- Peruvian Primera Division
- J League
- Chinese Super League
- A League
- Campeonato Paulista
- Ekstraklasa
- Eredivisie
- International Friendlies
- Argentinean Primera Division
Says you can have a trial "99¢ 7 Day Trial to LIVESPORT Soccer, rolling onto a Monthly repeating subscription at $7.99 a month until cancelled"
So, $7.99/ month is also an option & with A-League only 6 months, could be attractive...
However the website says their A-League broadcasts are not available in Australia, so would it be blocked here too?
Info on the company behind it: ".www.livesport.tv is a website operated by Perform Media Channels Limited... It works in NZ without a VPN. I watched the opening game via the $1 1-week trial. Not pristine, but a minimum of 10 times better than dodgy website streaming. For US$8 a month for all of their football, it's great.
Seems BT Sport are showing all A-League games, that might be a better option for me actually
I signed up last week for the 1 month - A-League only channel. As I'm travelling for several month this year, it appears that the A-League is available in most countries which is great for me. Watched Syd taking on the Planes this morning from Zurich and it worked great. Will see how it goes over the next 3-4 weeks then may upgrade to full subscription even though I'd probably only watch a few Chinese & J-League games as well as some International Friendlies.
When I signed up I only paid for A-League games, but I do remember that on the 6 pounds subscription they had some international football. Do we know if they will play the Mexico vs NZ game?? I'm in Italy at the moment and I'm going to struggle to find a pub that plays it.
It wasn't listed on the schedule when I checked last night, while other international matches were listed.
Anyone tried using the streaming service lately? I just tried to view Adelaide vs Brisbane but it says its geoblocked. Any ideas?
Try accessing it starting at http://www.soccer.livesport.tv
It works for me. I've been geo-blocked before when I've tried to enter it via another link (starting with "a-league" or something).
Adelaide 1-0 over the Roar.

Signed up for the trial and managed to watch the Phoenix game the other night, but currently getting the geoblocked message when trying to watch the Adelaide game, when using the http://www.soccer.livesport.tv link. Dammit.
I guess it depends on your physical location. The app checks your nearest server address and blocks you on that basis, I think (this is for the techs out here to comment on).
You have to pretend to be in another country. As you might know your IP is unique and they now pretty much where you are. You could use http://hola.org/ to fake you location. Hola! is an extension for your browser. Did not tried it myself with livespoert.tv but found other more complex VPN services to slow for live streaming.
The dodgy websites are pretty bad, around 75kb/s that is just 0.6 megabit/s. If you get the double amount the rate via Hola! the ball should be round and not a square like in Pong.
Update: Works fine. Signed up, uses Hola with GB server. Quality is great! ~300kb/s Its like coming from the 70's terrestrial to HD
Livesport TV
Dodgy stream:
I was unable to use Live Sport for 2 weeks (geoblock error) despite being told I could do so both in the USA and in Canada. Emailed their customer service who asked me to provide my IP address and told me that due to a 'glitch' my IP address had been blocked. Sounds like baloney to me as I tried to watch two games from two different locations (I even tried using my VPN and access from other servers around the world but to no avail). Anyway, luckily they must have fixed the issue and I was able to watch us tear apart the Wanderers on New Years (it was midnight here in British Columbia) - what a way to start 2014!
Just wondering if anyone in nz is still using livesport to stream aleague games? Do you need vpn for it yet? I'm returning to nz and would want an alternative option to the dreadful service that skynz provides.
live sport.tv seems pretty hit or miss. But it's also fairly cheap isn't it? So may be worth the risk.
I subscribed to it two seasons ago, when I was on a round the world trip. I was rather underwhelmed with the service and ended up not renewing it. Often times when I logged on it would tell me that the content was geo-blocked, even though I wasn't in Australia or NZ. Before signing up I had sent them an email outlining my travel plans to ensure I would be able to watch the games from Europe, Asia, North & South America and I was given an affirmative answer. Also, when the service didn't work I would email them and they would take a while to get back, and they promised to fix the issue, but the following week we were back to square one.
Sadly though, I ended up using streaming websites more often than not to watch the Nix. I definitely won't be subscribing again.
this service I can watch replays and go back and see any part of the match. Good value
I'm sure the Geo-Block is easily avoided, started using SmartDNSProxy.com for $4 a month which would do the trick...
Looks like some countries will have access to free YouTube streaming this season
Fans in more corners of the globe will get to watch the @ALeague this season.

I tried it but I wasn't foreign enough to qualify - I would probably need a vpn and maybe then.
I'm vpn'ing through Brazil and can't see anything.
Okay... Ukraine and link below seems to work:
For moments of desperation https://www.reddit.com/r/soccerstreams/ almost always has a semi-decent stream.
If you want to try a bit harder you can use AceStream (a p2p stream client) which is basically a modded version of VLC. Pretty easy to use instructions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/soccerstreams/comments/82ac7j/acestreams_you_what_are_they_and_do_i_use_them/
The only hard part if finding the streams but I think I've found a reliable source here: https://acestreamsearch.com/en/
Just search "bt" and find the appropriate BT Sport channel and you're away.
Quality if far is better than any dodgy in browser stream you'll find and from what I've seen better than plenty of actually legit payed streams (7-10 Mbps).
