Love reading peoples FA Cup stories. The 1997 final is certainly one of my fondest memories. 11 years old, Watching it with Dad and seeing just how much it meant to him having been a season ticket holder through the late 70s early 80s before moving to New Zealand and not seeing us win a thing.

I was lucky enough to go to the Semi final in 2013. Even though we lost 2-1 to City it was certainly something special to see my team play at Wembly.

Best FA cup memories for me the 1989  final Liverpool v Everton  was at the game.Never forget that.

West Brom 2 vs 4 Woking 1991.A friend lived in Woking so i went with him on the coach to the game.

That was great fun.

I always enjoyed going to unusual places like Carlisle, Swansea, Hull(before they were in the top league).

watching Leeds lose to Sunderland in the first ever shown "Live" Cup final here was brilliant. Awesome atmosphere from both sets of fans. Bobby Kerr, lifting the trophy.... We watched it on an old 26" Black and White Murphy Television.

Nothing beats the FA Cup. My Grandma used to live waking distance from Wembley Stadium and I was staying with her in 2009 when the Cup final between Chelsea and Everton took place. Even though it was 2 teams I didn't care for I walked down to stadium to soak up the pre game atmosphere and it was incredible. Was very envious of the fans getting to see their teams in the final. Never heard so many Scouser accents in one place like that (obviously until I actually went to Liverpool later on in the same trip).

It really is the greatest trophy.

Which is why I am so proud The Arsenal have won it a record 13 times.

Hang in there bro!

As a kid in the 70's/80s I loved "Cup Final Day" - TV coverage started early with the build up at the players hotels, highlights of previous rounds, quizzes, the team bus leaving hotel & arriving at Wembley etc -  magic.

The first Cup Final I went to was 1979 (age 11). My dad thought we'd missed our opportunity in the first semi final game v Liverpool & didnt think United would win the replay (2 x cracking games btw & still get goosebumps when I watch the highlights & hear Motson scream "Jimmy Greenhoff" as he heads the winner).

My Dad had said "if we win the semi we'll go to Wembley". He didn't get home from work until about 11.00pm so didn't know the score & I remember him creeping into my bedroom at about 6.00am the next day as he headed out to work again to ask "did we win?",

As a kid I didn't fully appreciate how hard it would have been to get tickets & I only realised a few years later it was through his football/business career contacts (particularly at Everton FC & Liverpool FC) that enabled me to not only goto this & some subsequent  cup finals but also attend some pre/post match functions.

The flag I got at the 79 Final is now in my sons room (I'll post a pic plus something I like from an Emlyn Hughes Testimonial Dinner when I'm back in NZ).

The 79 final is memorable for many reasons & athough the result mattered...it didnt matter - I was there with my Dad.. Thanks Dad. RIP
