He didn't like 'Mossy you're a goalkeeper'? #betterchants
Glen Moss (Macarthur FC GK Coach | Australia)
Mossy was Ernie's first signing at the Jest, so obviously he holds him in high regard. Mossy has also said publicly the whole off-the-field situation here influenced him in signing for the Jest.
I was looking at it purely from a supporter's point of view. Mossy could have been top dog here for another 2-3 years easy - big fish in a small pond etc. That would have worked for us too.

I saw interviews where Mossy while still here called out the Nix for not following Ernie's game plan, so yeah.
Now retired from international football, so mods should probably moved the thread?
Glen has been a good servant to both the Nix and the AW, a fine shot stopper, shame his distribution was never good and he loved (and was asked repeatedly) to hoof the ball up field.
From my few interactions with him, he was always polite and seemed a genuinely nice guy. The only mark would be that thick Aussie accent, but no one's perfect, amIrite?

there was a great ESPN article about Moss during the 2010 world cup (It was called "Of Moss and Men", but no longer seems to be online). It was one of the best pieces of sports writing I have read. Apparently Moss was in the media suite during the Italy game, living every minute of it, cheering on Paston and the boys- falling to his knees at least once if I remember correctly. The writer described it beautifully- and Mossy's utter delight at the final whistle was really moving. The writer (an American i think) described giving Moss a huge hug at the end- saying it seemed the only appropriate thing to do.

That's a shame for Mossy. So Italiano might get a run!

Shame for Mossy, good for more A-league comedy though.
Go Mambo, go and do your thing!!!
Veteran ready to pull plug
Another injury suggests the clock is ticking for veteran Jets keeper Glenn Moss – but in fact the Kiwi custodian has already decided enough’s enough.
Moss has told teammates that he will retire at the end of the season, having signed up to become Macarthur FC’s goalkeeping coach afterwards.
Great man and a good servant to the AWs, Nix.
He's had more injuries than your average keeper in his career, but still wouldn't define him as 'injury prone'.
Good he's already got a new gig sorted as soon as he retires...

Mossy has probably just played his last game.
Remember meeting him while we were both still teens, a nice guy then and now.
Sadly robbed of his chance to shine at the WC by NZF ineptitude.
Enjoy retirement Glen.
250 games. Congratulations.
Great to see hime coming in for the last ten minutes. Thanks for all the great saves Glen.
Good bloke, great keeper, good servant to club and country. Farewell and best of luck as goalkeeping coach at Macarthur next season!
only regret is assuming NZF had his appeal under control. lol

Wonder if he'll double as a backup keeper too? Could be a good excuse to manage the wage bill for what will certainly be a tight first year
