Well as the advert for the game says "It's time" For a point or maybe all three, can't let the season get away so soon. Hopefully the first choice regulars are back and firing on all cylinders.
Taylor and Alfeld still out. Wisnewski in Looks like that decision to play Taylor for the first two games when she was carrying an injury has backfired with her now extended absence. Here's hoping home turf will bring the best out of the girls this week.
Wellington Phoenix playmaker Alyssa Whinham has gone home due to personal reasons. Will miss Saturday's game v Adelaide United. Grace Wisnewski is back but captain Lily Alfeld and Kate Taylor remain out with injuries. Taylor won't feature again in 2022.
I thought Adelaide were very average yet could've won by 4 or 5 more. At times the quality was so poor from both sides it somewhat made it entertaining.
I guess a positive this week was that the body language was a bit better but maybe this was because they felt in the game for longer periods due to Adelaide's lack of ability in finishing.
Really can't see us winning a game, some will say that's harsh but i think it could be the reality unfortunately.
There needs to be a coaching change asap - is Alana Gunn still around? Heard she's a very good coach and knows what she's doing with her teams and players love playing her style. It might give the team a lift at least. Is there a window where we can get some players?
Adelaide werent as good up front as the other teams we played. They should have scored more. They didnt give up much at the back though, which is why they are top I guess
The Nix were okay. Keeper was better, but certainly aint keen to get off her line for corners. Adelaide didnt exploit it.
Barry is great, Hassett and Satchell did much good work. I just think we are bit short of pace amongst the others. I would start Robertson, surely she adds something. Wisnewksi was a bit quiet, Knott is still to impress me. I cant say Rolston convinced me of much either.
But I guess we were solid. but never looked like scoring Showtime Nixie

Huh? She played pretty well today. Particularly first half.
She was terrible, when she didn’t trip over herself and got a pass away it was to an Adelaide player. As one of the older players she needs to step it up.
Was disappointing to see nearly all the Fever leave before the women's game especially as it was part of the schedule for the 12 Pubs. First double header and the ladies could really have used the support

Wasnt just SOME of the YF who left though most of the crowd left so not sure why its just them directed at them.Im aware of a number of people who sit in the zone who arnt interested in womans football.
I was sitting in the family zone and down in front of us just prior to kick off on the Adelaide fans (red wig) was engaged in a quite heated yelling match with one of the security guards on the pitch edge. I can't help but feel like security might be in the wrong here, anyone hear the context of this argument.
Seems to put me off the idea of committed away fans having a sharkty experience.
Again I don't think people should be naming or attacking the players so much, it's not really their fault that they're being selected and exposed to criticism. Not one of them is anywhere near International level if we want to be honest. - Maybe Hatsett on a good day but the rest miles off it despite odd player being previous picked for a game or too. I heard Rolston on the radio the other day saying the a-league far worse than what she was playing in previously - she wants to probably keep quiet based on what she's dishing up tbh.
Changes need to happen with staff - Alana Gunn would be a no brainer to take over and I feel it has to happen now. Also heard that Michael Mayne whose been with the Football Ferns of late may come in and help this lot out? Is this true?

If the YF wanted to do the best for their protest, they could have a) asked sky not to film them after they moved, and b) gone back to the zone for the start of the women’s game. After 20 minutes they could have left if women’s football is not their thing.
Gomez and Clegg are recovering from injuries if I recall correctly. Foster can play both sides of the pitch with a decent left and right boot (as has been seen with the set peices). I think she's meant to be a midfielder but plays defence pretty well too. Michaela robertson is an out and out wide forward..
