However, show us the camera angle that shows it offside, otherwise they have just interpolated from the one we saw; if you can’t verify it should not be be overturning the on-field decision which was GOAL. Just dishonest otherwise.

Honestly we probably don't have a good enough view from the camera angle to make a determination. Once again a rubbish production job from the Aussies - Sky do it much better!
But what a performance! Brilliant comeback and to score 3 goals while down to 10 players away against a half-decent team... great stuff. 8 goals in 2 games. Feels like we are genuinely coming into our own and can push up the table now. 2 points up to the Jets!

Personally i think the bye will do us some good. We need to sort our defence out and i mean starting from the top not just the back 4. Once we all eliminate emotion from today i think we will know we could've easily conceded 10...they hit the woodwork half a dozen times and had several more chances - i know they had extra player but all except 1 week whereby we won, in every other game we get heavily under the pump and look likely to kick off more times than we would like.
We can't let results mask performance. Whilst today was good energy and we are starting to improve some areas. We are still very poor in some crucial ones. Use a bye week to address it, work on it in training and execute it next game. Have a even stronger finish to season...maybe.

You're right Showtime Nixie but for perspective hitting the goal post is as close to scoring as it is to missing. The men's Nix team dropped points in games where they hit the goal post too.
What I am seeing is improvement. The team is clicking and our forwards are scoring.
If we can keep 11 women on the pitch and focus some energy on defense we should be good enough to score more points this year.

With everything that was against us: travel disaster, the heat, away from home, red card, 2 nil down... This game shows incredible guts, resilience and no mean skill from the team. Fantastic!

We haven’t really played against a team that has quick wingers and played the balls over the top against us yet. So it took a while for the defence to adjust to that. Connors and PaigeRiley are quick their 9 is a good experienced target player, they have Gorrie dropping to receive the ball near the right back and send it long. Their keeper had looked impressive on most other games, but today she didn’t get near the ball any of the 4 times we put the ball in the net. Our shot to goal ratio today must have been very good. We are now creating heaps more chances than in previous games. Mixing it up between going long from Edwards and playing it short to the defenders is making us less predictable. But their forwards were dropping off to the centre circle in the first half before aggressively pressing out full backs in a very coordinated movement. Dropping off then gave them room to exploit with their pace when they won the ball back in the centre third. We grew into the game well. Glad we got the point, that was a hard fought battle and we got lucky at times, but they didn’t kill off the game when they should have. Massive credit to the team for continuing the goal scoring from the last game. We may have a full squad to choose from for the next game for the first game this season. Coach will have some selection headaches. Hopefully they can play a friendly next weekend to keep their match fitness up. That was such an exciting game. Hopefully we can turn the Sky stadium into a fortress and make it super hard to be beaten at home with the biggest crowds in the ALeague Women.

Looking at other results in the league, Canmberra suffered another 5-0 smashing by WU. Sydney destroyed Victory in a 9 goal thriller, so many goals this week!

Hence why i think a bye will is good because it gives us time to look at it and hopefully the coaches have the ability to address that area before next game. Totally. Hopefully that's what happens because the flip side of a bye is it can kill the rhythm so crossed fingers they are still scoring when they come back and defense is a touch tighter.
Are they likely to play a friendly this weekend to keep the momentum going? I’m in Wellington this week but not good timing for watching any Nix games. Do they have open training sessions at all?
The Ferns use to play boys u14 teams as practise games. Maybe Phoenix could play u13s Miramar side?
If the bye was a month later, then a friendly against top NWL side (Eastern Suburbs, Western Springs etc) would be an interesting proposition. I suspect Phoenix would win if played now, but if played in November/December my money would have been on the NWL side.
