Whilst not wanting to sound pessimistic ,NZ involvment in obtaining
players to compete in the A-league to me has always had a feel
of,what sort of players we get are based on last seasons
performances"
I notice how many players are returning to Australia (Ex Pat
Australians) & how many players of a perceived higher
quality are being recruited from Europe & South &
Central America.
In short I hope RH has his finger on the recruiting as each
year this league has got better.

Good point! Having the likes of Old and Tim Brown and Christie
is not exactly huge steps on from the Knights or Kingz. Lets hope
that they are our steady players if required and the rest of the
new recruits are outstanding!
We really need to get some more kiwi's in the team that are on
form and promising for the future. Interesting to see who the 2
other U20's players are.

he has had occassion to troll this site.HAHA... Well, I did live in Fulham for 5 years between 2001
and 2006 and went to a few fulham games; as a supporter. I also
played in Fulham for a team called Fulham Old Boys.
I did use Simon Elliots name once to help me get into a
night club in Chelsea called Purple. It worked, but I don't think
the girl had heard of Simon. lol

True I haven't watched a lot of NZ based players of recent
years. I went to the Wales game though. Hard working player and
decent. Just not outstanding is all I was saying. Maybe shouldn't
have included his name in my rant.
I do have issues with Steven Old though. He needs to harden up
a bit and cut out the silly mistakes. He has time on his
side.
