Aisle 21/22.
Just a question about the Fever area Im buying a ticket but my son
works on many days we play at home so its not worth buying him a
ticket.Will there be any way he can join us in the fever stand.

The were a number of variables that we programmed into a
super-computer, and that is what it came out with.
Have you even been to the stadium MelbourneFan? Have you ever
seen anyone sit at the ends? Why you worrying about where we
are?
The most important variable being that Aisle 21/22 is spitting
distance from the players tunnel, which is useful for those who
choose to express themselves by spitting. I will restrict myself to
occasionally informing passing players whether they may or
may not be c**ts and perhaps once or twice accidentally dropping my
half empty beer bottle over the edge (The inevitable stadium beer
Lion Red being completely expendable).

mate i was just asking.
i was curious as to know why the home fans didnt select to
stand behind the goals.
if you asked for aisle 21/22 then fine, no probs.
but if you asked for behind the goals and you were denied by
the club officials then that would be a shame. the pheonix will
heavily rely on the popularity and atmosphere generated by the YF.
So if they denied you the right to stand where you wanted to stand
then that would be sh*t. They should give YF the right to be behind
the goals instead of selling that space off to other people.

The ends at the stadium are a bit tricky with less access to lagers
and not as deep due to lounges and things. When things grow I
expect the Fever to take up the whole South...

thanks mate. i can understand the 'closer to the pitch'
argument if thats why you chose the corner. being at telstra
dome its very similar to westpac stadium (the oval shaped
ground).

Hmmm, the thought of lobbing a half-empty bottle of Lion Red at Archie Thompson's head reminds me of a story.
I went to see Madness at Finsbury Park in 1992. Great concert and the place was absolutely jammed. Morrissey was the main support act and ending up cutting his set short because he was getting so much stuff thrown at him by the crowd (his band reckoned they made an extra 500 quid just by picking up all the coins thrown on the stage).
Anyway, the tickets cost about 25 quid which at the time was quite a lot of money for a concert, even if it was an all-day one. Afterwards, they were interviewing some skinhead on the telly about what he thought of the ticket price. He says "to tell you the truth, 25 quid for the privilege of pissing in a bottle and throwing it at Morrissey is a bargain".
It still makes me laugh thinking about it now.
Hopefully everyone else will get into it, and the stadium will be

this will take at least 10-15 years bro, we have to be load enough for them to hear us first and in time regulars will learn the chants, after that we'll need more fans clubs, more footy fans in welly.....its not impossible but it needs time
a stadium with 35,000 people chanting is awsome though....speaking from experience of being in one.
is there a special area for away fans?or are they just gonna spread
themselves around the opposite side(white section on stadium map)?
Away fans are probably not going to be that abundant, given that
it's 3.5 hours by plane.... no away day football train specials,
pissing lager all over the carriages.... /nostalgia mode off/.
There were 80 odd over for a Knights game last year from Melbourne
and they are talking about having up to 50 at the opener. I
know quite a few Sydney guys looking to be here for the November
game as well.
I suspect the Sydney visit will cost me significant beer $$

I'm hoping all us Tards will gravitate towards a particular part of the ground and sing as one.
80? Not a huge amount, but probably as many as Plymouth take away
to Carlisle on a Tuesday night in December!
If they were vocal, they would have drowned out the few of us that
made up the Bloc at that point...
