It was an amazing strike from Middleby. At least Golec got a deflection. Middleby was a well won well struck header into the back of his net.

We must be the only team this year yet to put 4 or 5 past someone, nearly everyone has given an opponent a hiding this year apart from us

Close up shot of Kosmina obviously came up on the stadium screen - cue mass booing.

Biggest win 2-0 against Jets I think, only one to be more than one goal margin.

Contenders for quotes of the season ...

"Do you think we didn't play well?" a defiant Kosmina said after the game. "We battered them mainly. I'd hate to see the stats. The first half we could have had three or four even five."
And Kosmina said the Middleby own goal to make it 4-1 was due to the late afternoon light. "There was a band of light about four feet wide. If it [the band of light] had been longer or shorter, he'd probably got there.

"We scored more goals than Perth today," Kosmina added of the two own goals conceded by Robbie Middleby and Anthony Golec."
