G'day from Melbourne ...
I'm a Melb Victory fan but I've always had a soft spot for the team
from NZ (i.e. NZK and now WP). Don;t ask me why but I just do .. :)
Anyway, just thought I'll pop in here and say hi.
Don't worry about the pre-season results , it means nothing.
Have a bit of patience with the WP team and put your 100% support
behind them. Trust me, it makes a BIG difference to the players on
the pitch.
Don't forget, MV finished 2nd last in season one and look at
what we achieved in the 2nd season !
Also ...
- WP has a brand new team whereas the other teams have many
players that have played together for 2 seasons already
- Off field admin and process are well established by now
leaving the clubs to focus on on-field matters
- Pre-season doesn't count at all especially with a new team.
MV performed crap in the pre-season coz we revamped the team
following the dismal season one. But once the boys started gelling,
we just took off !
Finally, congrats on the great crowd of 8,000 for a pre-season
game !
Cheers bud. You're one of the good Aussies. Yes, the crowd was fantastic. Though Wellington Pheonix fans probably numbered in the tens-of-ones...
