I'm all for the Thistle - unless Feverish has struck a deal and Dan
is expecting everyone at the Cambridge.....there was mention of
happy hour prices from 11am til we depart.

i was opposed to the greek only zone but apon further investigation
its actually olympic zone (just all the greeks that told me said it
was a "greek zone") so i dont care, good for olympic players to

Well feverish we are in a position to bring lion nathan in on
negotiations. If you want to talk about it phone backbencher
pn 472 3065 and ask for alistair or paul. I have been talking to
the lion rep today and they are also open to the idea of supporting
you guys through our venue.
As you know - we already have a home base which is Thistle Inn. Our members wanted it - and I think it will be great. However, they can't open this Sunday on short notice - as they are short staffed (plus some are working at the Basket ball!), and they dont want to make a bad impression on YF members before season starts proper.

I understand about the Thistle but to say that it was the popular
choice was hardly fair when you look at the pubs they had to choose
from.
Anyway, i look forward to meeting alot of you on sunday and i

I can see a Melbourne Tardesque schism occuring in the ranks with the FTA (Feverish's Thistle Army) drinking at the spiritual home of the Fever, the BWB (Backbencher Whetwhistle Boys) who prefer a more politcal bent to their pint and then of course the TITs (Tracks Intercity Troop) - buggers who can't be ersed stumbling more than 15 yards from their train for a bevvy!.
Sounds like the Thistle is opening now (after we just sent out an
email to 1600 people saying it wasnt!)
so we've gone from the Basin to Newtown Park to the Stadium; now
it's from the Thistle to the Backbencher and back to the Thistle
