Are you sure were at the same game as some of us.He cleaned
up a lot of what the others had let past.He also seemed to really
enjoy the support given to him.But then if you think all he did was
hoof it guess I must be wrong.
I'm not impressed by him yet. I couldnt understand why the crowd
was cheering when all he did was hoof the ball up the park, must
have been the Wharfies fans that where impressed with that style of
play.
just heard on the radio that cleberson is out for this weekends
game. knee problems apparently, but cannot trust (or enjoy) 91ZM.
If Cleberson is in Buncy's mould then thats a plus for me. Buncey
did well in the A League last year, esp with Tambo beside
him.
yeah i agree with this, not all centre backs are alike and i think Cleberson compliments the others

HES BIG, HES BLACK, HELL f**k UP YOUR ATTACK,
CLEBERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is genius
Any word on whether he picked up an injury from that knock he took
at the end of the match??
obviously hope not, as he and Dodd looked the business
I reckon Clebo might become a bit of crowd favourite, he seems
to have a great attitude and looks like a bit of a character
my thought about cleberson reflect urs and i think he had a groin
strain or something none of our braazilians are fully fit but
beware wen they are
yeh we obviously see eye to eye on this one, even in 'stereo' coz
we have ended up running 2 threads on him (my mistake)
When he went down it was in front of were i was and i thought
he'd done his knee, i'm glad Ricky took him off before he knackered
it, showed guts to hobble on for a bit
I reckon his mate Daniel would have been asking for a priest
if he'd been caught like that ,
Danny's a great larker, and i wouldn't swap him for anyone
else, but i wonder how long it'll be before he cops a yellow
from a ref who doesn't appreciate a good stuntman
I agree with you two. He looked great and when he is fully
match fit and ready he will be super. Great signing!!
Does anyone how long he signed for??
HI JM
I looked at the profiles on the club site, but not much there.
I've mailed the club to suggest that expanding the profiles would
be a good move imo. My guess is it won't happen, even if it does,
until preseason admin stuff is all sorted. If anyone replies to me
about the Clebo question i'll whack the answer on here.
But I reckon someone on here will know - the Dom Post probably
had the details after he signed.
Talking of the Dom - I'm looking forward to the headline on
Sat am - Pheonix silence Roar! or Pheonix start with a hiss
and a Roar.
CMON YOU NIX!!
They headlines would be fantastic!!!
Great stuff Tiger.
Great stuff Tiger.
Hes' signed for one year. Daniel is the only one who signed for
two.
Thanks Phil,
I know it is early days but I would keen to see his contract extended.

I have to agree with you Nightz. I thought he looked slow and
immobile and tactically inept. He followed players into central
areas creating large space in behind to be exploited (instead of
zonal defending), paticularly as Steven Old also pushed high and
was narrow which allowed Sydney to develop alot of play down
our right hand side in the second half. He dived in when all
he had to do was apply pressure and kicked the ball 40 meteres up
the field to no-one. He failed to look to build play from the back.
He is great from an entertainment value if all you want him
to do is knock players over (especially if balls are in the air) or
kick the ball as far as he can. I'm sorry but he is very much in
the Che Bunce mold. He can mix it physically in the rougth stuff,
but technically will be found wanting especially when playing
against quick forwards and teams that look to play in behind us at
pace. He didn't impress me as a footballer or an athlete at this
level. Stephen O'Dor is by far more comfortable with the ball at
his feet, has good vision and looks to play from the back where
possible. I hope Im wrong about him, but that was my first
impression

I've not seen D'Or play, Ollie, so i can't compare them, for the
good of the club if D'Or is a better centre back then that is
probably a good thing
and yep, it's Clebo's attitude/entertainment value that I
noticed, like i said he seems a bit of a character
a mate of mine, who's a good coach rated Dodds higher in terms
of his composure and i wasn't going to disagree
so I guess if DOr is Ricky's preferred choice (time will
tell), then i better just enjoy it when Clebo does get a run,
I still rate Cleberson's attitude, I reckon he'd lift the
players round him, (and perhaps their blood pressure , unless
of course his positional sense improves with more time under
ricky's coaching). He did look keen to launch himself forward - and
to be fair Franz Beckenbaur he's not, but maybe Old (etc)
could be told to cover him in future, if he gets an outing and
then fancies a run.
enjoy the season - i intend to
I want the points!, but, if possible, i fancy a bit of
excitement as we pick them up.
cheers Ollie

hope he gets well soon anyway!
hope he gets well soon anyway!
Yeah, was confirmed by other media. .. . although this
is the NZ media we're talking about . ..
D'Or and Dodd to take the centre back roles I think
tonight
According to the DomPost Cleberson has aggravated a hamstring
tear.

Brilliant that squad make up and injuries etc are getting
radio coverage!!!, Though it probably wasn't club press
release coz, this sites had it down as hammie strain since last
night (i think).
I'm happy for the radio sations to make a few mistakes -
until they get the hang of it
I reckon we are starting to get the coverage we deserve and
lots more to come!!!!!!!
The day the nix top the sports bulletin (for non-knights type
reasons) will be great day in NZ's cultural history!!!!

well a friend of mine started singing it at the game vs sydney but
no one would join in with us, i dont know why i think its gold
I was a bit wary of some errors Cleberson made in judging through
balls played into our penalty area against Sydney. Great in
the air, and a real asset, but early days still, and I would
certainly like to see the big fella more assured in other key
areas. If he plays out from the back more often, it will be
great to watch.
