Nothing from TVNZ as expected, just 5 mins on the crappy Air

Tv 3 just had a brief preview, with a few pics and a word from
Ricky
much better than those plonkers at TV1 (unless i missed
something - then I'll eat humble pie but right now i reckon they
deserve a flyblown cane toad in a pie)

Rugby's the national sport therefore it should get a lot of time.

Yeah it is tempting to get locked into the rugby vs
football comparisons - and right now we'll always come off second
best (in the numbers/ not in the buzz!).
As for living with TVNZ's current lack of awareness of how big
the A-league could become in NZ, well I'll continue to flick
channels in hope but i always talk up TV3 because they consistently
provide better football coverage and i'll email them both from time
to time - because i still (foolishly believe the idea that they are
responsive - ha!)
im sick of seeing rugby rugby rugby on the news, surely it
would make some sort of difference if they get enough emails...
I agree that football doesn't get enough coverage, but even the
rugby coverage is focussed alot on the five main provinces. I
support the Northland rugby team and even though their is far more
rugby coverage than I think is necessary I hardly ever find any
coverage on the smaller unions such as Northland. Now I know some
of you might not care, but I thought I would point out that it is
not quite Rugby in general. The fact I find annoying is that they
recycle the same stories about Auckland, Canterbury, Wellington etc
Yet ignore other sports and even the smaller unions. Now even if
you are interested in Rugby, I'm sure you must get tired of reading
the same articles over and over again...so maybe they could give us
some more diverse stories...how about the Phoenix to start with??
I will say another thing guys if the Phoenix earns respect on the
field then coverage will pick up.

stadium, or it will cover a portion of our bar tab for the first
home game vs melbourne. I know if we win it will be around
