FIFA World Cup 2010 Game

What is with this cheating refereeing??

First I conceded a goal where a player in an off-side position when a shot was taken fell into his lap and he knocked it in.

Now I'm playing off China in the play-off. Lochhead professional fouls to take out the Chinese striker as the last line of defense and gets a red card. Fair enough.

But the Chinese last man takes my man down as he makes for the goal and no free kick is even awarded. This happens at least twice in the game. Doesn't feel realistic.

For the record the Chinese miss a few sitters and game ends 0-0. November 14 beckons...ahmad2010-05-22 22:10:45

Just tried this out of Wii, graphics are poor (although most wii games are). I got smashed 5-1 in a friendly against Algeria. From memory only Ryan Nelsen and Ivan Vicelich looked similar to their real life counterpart.

Yea Wii version is by a completely different team and obviously the Wii isn't as powerful so they don't have real life looks. My partner noted at the anthem line-up that the entire team was the same height LOL!

It is pretty fun though - I ended up buying this in addition to my Xbox 360 copy to play with "non-gamers" and they had a great time. Including my son who scored a free kick from almost halfway

Not to impressed with this game. How is it that the NZ squad is so wrong as well as the fact that they are soo week even when playing against really bad teams.

What improvments aside from strengh are you thinking?

Just a question when are the players going to be updated into squads. E.G Reid and Smith into the All Whites

They've been updated. You just have to play a game online and it'll check for squad updates. i think you can also check for updates manually in the menu somewhere. they've changed the formation to our 3-4-3 and put reid, smith and clapham in. probably more but that's all i've used.

I updated the squads and then went to play with New Zealand ( not online ) but they still weren't there?

I haven't actually played offline since then. so i don't actually know. were you playing in a tournament you had already started or a play now match?

I would understand if you were just continuing an already started campaign but if you start a new one they should be in there. well that's what i think anyway.

I got this the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't too sold on FIFA 10 (the AI felt really, really cheap), but I was impressed with this one. The presentation especially is really nice. (Yummy graphics!) There have been a few glitches, but nothing major.

Was originally going to get it on the Wii so I could play it with people who aren't gamers, but managed to find a used copy of the PS3 version for cheaper, so I went with that. No rainbows for me! Haha!

Although, I would like to get the Wii version so that maybe people will actually play with me. How do the Wii remote controls work in it? Is it like PES?

Another scenario i read off the ea sports fifa page on facebook. It's just after we score. Got to hold them out. don't know the specifics as i haven't been on the game yet.

All Whites Squad updated. Now 2 and a half stars (used to be 2). Also the default squad has been changed to the starting lineup from the WC. reid and smiths stats have been boosted. few others aswell i think. just noticed those 2.

Paston, Bertos, Brockie, Smeltz (up to 74!!), Wood, Elliott are all up too from memory.

Smeltz was already on 71. they just had him playing out wide and it dropped him down to the 60's. but since they've put him starting in the middle it's 74. i like playing him on the right so it's him on 68, fallon 68 and killen on 65. gives a nice spread and also fallon doesn't have the speed to play out wide.

Just thought I'd bring this up, IGN did a simulation of the final: Netherlands vs. Spain.. heh.

That makes no sense at all

Played the online world cup won 20-0. ok i was playing Afghanistan and after i was up by 6 before 60 minutes he started scoring own goals. going for the "if you can't beat him, join him attuitude." did score 10 of the goals in the end and he actually started going for the right goal in the last ten.

Played as fiji. Held the world champions spain to 1-0. had numerous 1 on 1's couldn't get any. Casilla's had a great game. 8 saves.

Played as New Caledonia Made it to the round of 16! Drew with Germany 1-1, lost to mexico 1-0(last kick of the game pretty much and beat spain 1-0. These Island teams are very underrated.
