I was a FIFA fan back in the FIFA 98 days, but mainly cos there was no other real alternative. But since PES2 hit NZ there's been no turning back and I haven't stuck at FIFA too much longer than the one week I'd hire it out for from the video stores. having said that I did give FIFA 07 a decent shot.

Definately PES for me, although it does take abloody long time to edit all the unlicensed players & the commentary isn't up to the high standard of the Fifa commentary but in the end it's all about the gameplay for me & PES wins hands down!!!!!

yup gameplay hardout!!! but the next installment of PES that being PES7 is said to have 13, yes THIRTEEN liscences! Now I'm not actually that excited about it but itd be good to have real player names in the teams in the 'other' category.

everything. the game play and graphics just annoy me.

fair enough, you must be one of those die hard fifa fans that can never be convinced otherwise, and I respect that. But I'm pretty sure the general consensus from gamer critiques is that PES has gameplay all over FIFA and FIFA leads the way for graphics sound etc.

I have to say FIFA is better because, I have never played PES before.

Both games are good fun, but i prefer Fifa

FIFA is more arcade-like and less realistic. I prefer PES played it for a while since ISS Pro on Playstation. Played a few FIFA's too. Lots of editing to do on PES and kits aren't amazing. I reckon the proportion of the players are better in PES the shoulders look funny in FIFA. Playing WE10 ATM.

EA Sports games generally are more arcade-type games. I liked 2k sports NFL but Madden (EA) bought all the rights for teams ESPN... and have no competition, still play NFL 2K5, only recently got Madden on Wii. NBA Live (EA) series is the same, switched to NBA 2K7 now.

yea 2k7 is awesome. I think EA sports are starting to moce towards a more simulation type game ala konami but I guess we'll have to see. I don't expect too much from the EA sports people especially when one of their producers on FIFA 08 bemoans the fact that current gen consoles were limited in what they could do in terms of gameplay etc. well Konami must have stretched every inch of space in the hardrive cos a lot of what he was talking about, konami have been doin since the ISS days. So I really do think in terms of gameplay, EA are at least two or maybe even three years behind konami

EA games are sh*t

as far as I'm concerned most people think PES is crap because they can't be bothered learning it!! It takes a lot longer than fifa to pick up so people are being lazy!! 

PES does take it on gameplay but ive played fifa so long that when i played PES the other week i was losing about 5-0 on normal difficulty

Apparently FIFA 08 will be one of the best and maybe overtake PES on gameplay =]

yea we'll just have to wait and see about FIFA 08 aye! they've been saying for the last three or four titles that it'd be the greatest football sim out there, and they've fallen desperately short each time. I'd like to see FIFA up there gameplay-wise with PES cos of the fantastic graphics that EA offer.

I always liked PES player models better more realistic than FIFA, but obviously FIFA is better graphically and it has got better due to PES dominating.

Fifa is far too easy, you wanna win 10-0 on NORMAL difficulty then FINE. But if you want a REALISTIC game of football and win a few lose a few then PES is sooo much better.

PES is the best and much better than FIFA can ever be. the game play is just so much better and feels like ur playing a real football game rather than just playing a computer game.one of my friends who was a hard out FIFA fan, we turned him into a PES fan and he's loving it.

go play PES and then u will never wana play FIFA again
