Of course he can. He'll get 25-odd I reckon, easilly.
If he does, it is not before time.
Yeah. Likewise. You know what time kickoff is NZ time? It'll be an evening game so could be at a half decent hour. I love the look of Vermijl, a young Belgian defender we bought in the summer. Made his debut for the Reserves at right back the other day and scored a goal. I doubt he'd be ready for the Carling Cup squad though.
KO at 6-45 am NZ time.

LOL
he sure does score some fabulous goals, you guys think he can keep it up all season? is he capable of scoring 25+ goals in all comps?
Of course he can. He'll get 25-odd I reckon, easilly.

Line up I'd like to see for Sc**thorpe:
Kuszczak/Amos
Rafael - Brown - Smalling - Fabio
Bebe - Gibson - Ando - Obertan
Chicha - Macheda
Although it is almost certain that Owen will start.

Don't think Fabio's in the squad - unless I'm blind?
I would very much like Rio to play, given he's in the squad, to get some more game time. Agree on the midfield though. Up top I think Hernandez will play, probably with Owen, though I also Macheda and want him to play. He'll come of the bench for the winner!
De Laet to start at left back then?
Yeah maybe. Or they may give one of the young guys a start? Dunno.
Might see if I can find a stream for a view when I wake up tomorrow.

Its 5-1 at the mo... About 10 mins to go
Gibson
Smalling
Park
Owen x2...
EDIT: finished at 5-2.
Fergie was absent from the game......went over to watch Valencia play and scope them out! (Apparently only the 3rd game he's missed in 24 years!)
richierich82010-09-23 08:42:59
And on a funny side note, its still chelsea 2-3 newcastle at stamford bridge haha
EDIT: Finished 4-3 to Newcastle! haha what a crack up. Now we're going to have to put up with even more deluded Geordies!
Also looks like Liverpool and the almighty powerhouse of Northampton Town is about to go to extra time at Anfield. And West Brom are heading for a 2-1 win over Man sh*tty....Oh you couldnt make this stuff up!

Watched the game this morning online, they dominated shots but we were super clinical and well deserved the win. Anderson was pretty good in the middle, Smalling looks excellent as well and Owen ran the show up front. Quite impressed with the 20mins Bebe got as well.
Man City losing is one big LOL. I really, really enjoy that. Chelsea losing is also beneficial, and while it's fun to see Liverpool lose, I just noticed they equalised, so that's going to head to penalties.
Agreed though richie, a dream morning so far for us.
Oh they lost the shootout.

Good news that Hargreaves is back in training (again!)
Im interested to see who's going to play in the Bolton game, seeing as theres the trip to Valencia in mid-week.
Wouldnt be suprised to see Owen and Berba up top from the start TBH
I don't think Park will start despite his good performance in the Cup. He seems to be used a lot in the Champions League so he will probably be saved for Valencia.

Give Obertan a chance.
Give Obertan a chance.
Hmmm... Round of upsets continuing. 1-0 down after 5.
United down 1 inside 6mins...
edit: beaten to it. but i will add that rooney still looks off, as he has been.

That was some goal.
So Rooney get's the assist for that one? Even though Nani pretty much did it all himself from halfway.
Poor crowd, you've got Manchester United coming to town and you can't even come close to selling a pretty small ground out. Poor effort.
"SCORE IN A BROTHEL, YOU ONLY SCORE IN A BROTHEL".
2-1 to Bolton!
Owen you beauty!
Some nice goals on show today.
Entertaining game but cmon yet another away draw! Somethings be sorted before going to Valencia midweek.
Nani's goal was a cracker, and great to see Owen scoring. Rooney will get there, he'll end up scoring a dead crap scrappy tap in or something and he'll go from there!
Very disappointing performance and result. Chelsea aren't going to lose or draw to many games this season so when they do it is so important to win but we couldn't last night.
I thought O'Shea was utterly appalling. He ran up and down the right flank without ever receiving the ball. At one point he overlapped Nani and then left Petrov unmarked 50m down field who received the ball. Disappointing to see him starting again when we have Rafael on the bench and Wes Brown not even in the squad. I thought Macheda made a difference when he came on and thought Owen's general play was very good. Evans looked completely out of his depth. Let Knight in with some sloppy marking off the corner and made three or four glaring errors and at least one nearly led to a goal. Tbh I'd rather have seen Smalling out there.
So all in all disappointing and although I hold SAF in the highest regard, I was left questioning some selections again. Expected to see Obertan on the bench as well.

Wazza no playing against Valencia due to his "injury"
Good call i say. Let him get his head sorted.
Hopefully itll be Owen and Berba up front instead of Berba by himself.
Owen deserves a start. Three goals in his last two games.
My guess...
Oshea Vidic Rio Evra
Nani Carrick Fletch Park
Berba Owen
Sucks to hear Scholes is out for a week or so, but luckily Carrick's back as is Ando, and hopefully Hargo wont be tooo far away either...
I also think that Rooney has been given time off. Call me a cynic but it seems like it makes sense with everything thats been going on lately
Ok my guess was a little off!
Rafael Vidic Rio Evra
Nani Fletch Carrick Ando Park
Berba
anyone have an online link to the game?
