Anyone know how to change Marquee players?

your player with the most expensive wages is automatically deemed Marquee player... in other words, your highest paid player's wages are excluded from your salary cap.

Doesn't it annoy how all "new" players (Regens from NZ) end up with the same few sir names.

Have also been finding that NZFC teams buy Aussie players resulting in quality kiwis getting dumped then retiring young you ala Plodder, Kosta and Killen...
...while the old boys Shaun Douglas, Perry Cotton, Rupert Ryan and Danny Halligan(!!!) etc are still playing in their 40s!

What would be a fair CA to give van't Schip in the database anyone?

I have this strange problem with my Newcastle save. When I am going to do a match after the team talk, it doesn't load and I have to force quit it. It is only a problem for this save as my other saves work fine. Can anyone help? Thanks

I haven't been playing much lately so I decided for a few days to leave it on "Go on Holiday indefinitely". So, Winston Reid signed for Real Madrid and is the freaking man. Rory Fallon is All Whites manager. The All Whites are amazing, everyone in the side is valued over a million pounds except for Reid cause he is around 35. It took Manchester City till 2021 to win the league and Liverpool 2022. Phoenix still haven't won the league and only made the grand final once. :(

With the formations, isn't it wise to play a formation which is preferred by your coaches too?
Mine prefer 4-4-2 so that's what I'm sticking with.

Anyone have any success changing formation during a game, or will it confuse players too much?

I'm still playing FM 09; might splurge for 11 later on.

Works.

3-2-3-2 is the best formation I've come across. Took NZ to ONC glory several times and Dunfermline back into the SPL. Was inspired by Nov 14.

You could do that with pretty much any formation.

I had some success with old formations like WM and WW on FM08 and 09.

Well I decided to change up the rules a bit and so removed the salary cap and import rules in the A-League. While giving every team a transfer kitty of 2.5million and a wage boost as well. Managed to sign some quality players, Viduka, Allsopp, and Vidosic are the big names. As well as a French midfielder, Ivan Vicelich and Clint Bolton. All the Heart players are free agents because they obviously didn't have the Heart to go to when editing the game.
Also added the Australian Lower Leagues, where the winner gets promoted to the HAL and loser of HAL relegated. I really hope I don't get relegated as it is a 78 game season in that. Also added an Australian Cup. Which is quality.
As the Nix, currently 6th in the HAL and still going in third round Australian Cup. Only problem was I didn't change the dates, so I have a 27 game league running from mid July through to early May. Otherwise it's good fun.

So wish I didnt lose this game.. Sounds brilliant.

I have changed formations mid game and it worked. But not dramatically, sometimes I change a defensive midfielder into an attacking midfielder and it works.

Well I have an unbelieveable amount of money. Signed Gareth Bale, Sylvinho, Vladimir Weiss and Robert Pires. Ended up third in A-League and qualified for ACL thanks to Australian Cup triumph. Managed to get that Sczenchy fella from Arsenal. And what do you know. I'm coming 9th in the league after 15 games. Fawkner Blues the only team below me on only 2 points! Fury got relegated in first season and are now ripping up the Lower League.

Just downloaded a 04/05 database and I put it into the place where the original database goes in the file directory but it doesn't work. Would anyone be able to help?

I am having trouble off loading players.


I signed some really good foreign youngsters for free, only thing is that to get them I had offered them very good contracts with yearly increases. Now I want to sell them, make a tidy profit and reduce the wage bill so that I can get other players into the squad under the salary cap. Just that no one wants to buy them. I am getting close to the end of August and getting desperate, club wont allow me to release them and even though there are clubs interested they wont buy the players even when I offer the player to clubs for free. Who would pass up that opportunity?

One player was second top goal scorer in the A League and I think had the highest ave rating for the season, yet no one wants him. They also all dont want to go on season loans to Team Wellington, my affiliate club, so may just end up having these young talented players unregistered.

Mutual termination? The board won't block that. The player might though.

Oceania Nations Cup. Not implemented correctly in the game and is a huge problem for all NZers.

Umm just got this game off paullt, anyway how do you edit squads/players and create new divisions and leagues on this game.?

Start > Programs > Sports Interactive > Data Editor (may be called something else). It's a bit complicated at first but when you get into you can tweak it to do some cool things.

That looks a lot like a java error which programmers can look at to find bugs in their software. I guess you should try reinstalling it, and if that doesn't work then post it on the Sports Interactive forums.
