I've been playing manager mode right, and am curious about the success rate of transfer players, like, the higher the percentage of them being interested in the cklub, the higher chance they will accept a contract? I assume it's like that, or does it needs to be 100%?

What you said first^^. You can nail players from smaller clubs with about 50%, others you'll need the maximum 75.

Best game I've bought in a long long time. Bought Red Dead Redemption other day, and am still playing fifa 10. My flatemate has almost clocked red dead redemption, but I cbf with it to be honest haha. Probably 110 down the drain eh?

Am to busy playing managers mode. Am just loving the physics of the body when it touches the ball.

Can't wait for fifa 11, especially seeing as it won't be ported to lower end consoles. Just 360, ps3. not sure about the wii? But anyway, hoping they'll finally add the Greek League!

It's hard to get sick of the FIFA games.

Mucked around with a few games on PS2 and the only one I play regularly is FIFA 10 (currently) and then Tekken 5.

The other games hardly get touched.

Saved a penalty today, keeper deflected the shot over the cross bar, opposition players ran in celebrating.. was mega confused, then they were awarded the goal which never went in.

A bit of a weird question but, do stats update somewhat according to player's real life performance or something? I just started a  new manager and some stats have changed. Ifill is now a 68, not a 65, mckain is 64 instead of 61, Greenacre 65 instead of 62 etc....

I notice a bit of an update as well. I know they update squad lists. but wasn't sure on stats. am guessing they do?

Ive also just uptated all the squads, and noticed you had looked at Sibon, so I presumed you created the Heart, so I was wondering how did you create Melbourne Heart??? I looked for create-a-team but couldnt find it???

I created the heart but it's pretty average. You can only name the team in caps, so its MELBOURNE HEART and they're in the rest of the world. The strip is easy enough to make but the logo isn't. There's enough Heart players in the game to make a smallish squad.

Therk: McKain is 64 on mine and always has been, I had put Ifills overall up to 69 as I thought he was always rated too low.

Been playing Ultimate Team with a mate lately on PS3.  Definately an improvement over 09 UT but some of the game flow still doesnt make sense i.e. why do you have to send something to trade pile THEN go and set a price?  That could easily be a single step.

The new tournaments are better.

Rocking a mediocre Gold team at the moment with ARSE Wenger as Manager, playing his 4-2-2-2 style.  Notable players are Nuno Gomes, Cheyrou, Khalenberg and Ricardo (GK). 

Slowly getting used to World Class difficulty again after not playing Fifa for 6 months.  We were getting beaten by 1 star teams!#% with our 3 star squad.  But now we're 3 and 1/2 stars and just won a 2 star tournament.  Should be up to 3 stars in no time then be able to challenge teams who are the same star rating as us.

Not sure if we'll bother with Fifa 11 for a while, 10 is still very enjoyable - especially with UT.

Whats Ultimate Team??? is it just for PS3 and Luis Garcia, how did you create the team?

question all, do you use the trick stick much? Or are you more of a tradditional quick passing and crossing etc? I've always been a pass and move kind of guy scoring from all over the final 3rd. But recently i've been playing a 4-3-3 and using my wide players with a good long shot to cut in and have a dig, and normally a 360 rotation or a step over is enough to split the full back and centre back apart and get room for the shot. RvP is dominating!

Ultimate Team is FIFA 10's card trading game.  You can buy card packs or players/items on the market place where other UT players buy and sell cards.  You earn coins by playing games with your team in matches/tournaments/online. 

Then you put those cards into action whether if its players for your team, manager, coaches.  There's also developmental cards like increasing a players skill, team training, morale.  Also you have to manage your team by making sure they have contracts i.e. 1 game played = 1 contract, and you can purchase these contract cards on the marketplace or you get them when you buy card packs with coins you've earnt or credit card.

Its really fun, because you get to build your own team, search for players you want, including stadiums, strips i.e. i have Nix home strip for my team.

Dunno what other platforms it works on but definately PS3.

Depends - passing is always the key but trick moves, especially a crossover to the left or right can be really effective in getting a half a set over your marker. 

First touch (right stick) can also be really effective i.e. when having a ball played to your feet and a marker is tight on you, use first touch to get away from this marker momentarily.  The strength of touch is determined by how long you've held the stick to one direction or the other for.

But the best feature and hardest part to master with FIFA10 is when going shoulder to shoulder with an opposing player whether if you're on attack or defence and coming out with the advantage.  Player factors such as pace, ball control and especially strength come into this.  Using a combination of manouvering the direction stick, sprinting (on off) and the big/first touch you can either hold off/get away from your marker or make the difference between making a successful tackle or being held off.  This becomes harder to master as you go up in difficulty.

Also, a good tip for playing with lower league teams is to sign black guys.  Honestly, this works as they tend to have a higher comparative strength rating.  For the Nix I signed a couple of no name strikers with high strength and about average shooting/everything else.  Beat A-League defences 1v1 easily on Pro, and relatively easily on World Class (with a bit of extra manouvering).  Exception being Wayne Rooney - he is ridiculously strong!!!

Direction change/hesitation when dribbling is also something that is harder to master but really effective.  Its the key to beating players 1 v 1... and charging your GK up from the back to try score goals :D

Yeah mate completely agree! Some of the things I struggle with is the change of pace, i.e. sprinting and competing, and then turning your man, I always get out muscled! I.e. Andrey Arshavin, nuggety little player but ALWAYS bounced off the ball!!!

You play on PS3?  I'd be keen for a game sometime, as me and my mate only play with 1 other friend who's currently in the USA.  Always more fun playing someone real and not the CPU all the time!

Tom Rewi - I have the PS2 version ..not for long though, but you can create a team on there. But teams are put in rest of the world, and the team name has to be in capitals which pisses me off. I didn't realize 360 and PS3 versions didn't have this feature.

ohh yeah, sounds a bit gay. Yeah 360 doesn't have it. Should be good in FIFA 11 we've they have made a 'creation zone'. I'm hoping on getting FIFA 11 through birthday money(Oct. 15). Just because of the new Career mode and Creation zone. Also the inclusion of Heart.

The worst part I find is not being able to buy internationals who aren't in a club on the game. we'll have this problem with the likes of Killen and Vicelich.. they should just make these guys free agents.

Not sure about level.  I hardly play online and play a lot of Ultimate Team.  On a good day I can handle playing World Class vs CPU, but then professional seems a bit too easy, so im somewhere in between >_<

Rumours circulating about M Rojas' future at the Nix. I chose the option that says I will pull him out of the squad at the end of the season.
