Since when does the 'what goes on tour' rule apply? Doesn't for our highly paid all blacks and neither should it highly paid footballers.

Much like the other incident on this thread i will not discuss the details but its touch and go whether he'll be able to play, bit more hopeful that he'll make it tho

it could well have been Coastal by more but for the Nomads keeper cleaning up his defenders mistakes and has a broken finger [after 80 minutes] for his efforts.
Coastal goal came on 85 minutes from a poorly executed Nomads free kick deep in the Coastal half, ball cleared quickly and with the usual backs pushed forward for the free kick it became a one on one with the keeper.
Coastal player was very slightly off side [but I didn't have the flag] when ball played to him, defender in the middle messed up as should have stepped up to half way not retreated back into his half and would have got the offside call.
Not a game that would make you want to watch another between these teams.

Ferrymead Bays 9 ChCh United 0

Anyone see this game?
As I mentioned several weeks ago Halswell looking a much improved side from last year.
It's good to see Woolston Tech go down again.
Tech got a lucky penalty last week as the tackle was at least two metres outside the box and with only 1 minute played the refs focus was still back in the shed.

Mainland results page has Western 0 Nelson 0

Can I redo my pick for Sunday? make this my pick,
Woolston Tech 5 ChCh U 0
This game on at Tulett Park at 2.45

United must have had at least 1 player sent surely? What a hiding! Tech will be looking forward to tomorrow to try and kick start their season for sure.

Nomads were lucky Ash Wellbourn was away in Aussie for the weekend and Moir and Turnbull amongst others were poor with their finishing. Aaron Spain who scored is 15 and quite a prospect.
Nomads failed to create any clear cut chances with Tristan Nicol outstanding with Hughesy in the middle at the back while Gebhart, Stanton and McDermot dominated the midfield.

Mixed results for Premier League Rams

After a promising start to their 2011 campaign, the lads have been reminded of how challenging life in the premier league can be, suffering a comprehensive loss to Nelson and a frustrating 3-2 loss to Western last weekend.

With several of the goals conceded against both Nelson and Western coming from poor defensive decisions, we hope to see a more decisive, communicative and organised defensive unit on the park in their upcoming match against Ferrymead Bays at Barnett Park this weekend.

Taken from ChCh Utd's home page lol.

That's a great result for mighty Parklands and shockers for 2011 and Mid Canty who both fancied themselves as potential champions. And what's happened to Waimak who have been building strongly over the past couple of years losing to Western's 3rd team? Also why are Cashmere not in there? Is that a result of the agreement with Woolston-Tech? And does this discussion need to go to it's own thread?

Richmond have won their opening games 11-0, 7-0 and 7-0. The last game coming against Marlborough who were runners up last year and didn't lose a single game to Richmond in 2010. Imports Ben Wright and Sam Mason-Smith have been scoring at least two a game.

obviously weren't locked up after last Saturday nights nightclub stoush. Looks like a cake walk to the MPL barring an earthquake or similar, especially as their playoff opposition looks like being Parklands who haven't even bothered to enter the Chatham Cup that's how highly they rate themselves.Ronaldoknow2011-04-17 13:41:20

Its probably not about rating themselves or anything, maybe Parklands just want to concentrate on the league & not worry about a competition that can be a disruption to some teams

Each goal cost the club $70 without a bonus, sure the rest of the team will be happy to chip in if he's running a bit short.
Highfield is probably worth more, the only thing that saved them against Coastal.

Speaking to a Parklands player today he explained that the entry fee for the Chat Cup was too high to warrant a possible one off game. They will enter the English Cup.

He is confident of his team winning the league seeing the other results.
