From the capo of the BWB -

""Look, all I can say is that from what I've heard and who I have heard it from, I'm confident that the deal has already been accepted in principle. I'd expect a presser by Friday with H in attendence to sign on the dotted line.

Nothing is certain but Im pretty confident."

Rumours Dario Vidosic to be signed by Adelaide. Press conference later today probably to confirm.

Not surprising as he spent the 2nd half of last season on loan Arminia Bielefeld which got relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga - so can see why Nuremburg won't be to upset with him leaving.

Robbie Fowler rumoured to be on his way to Muang Thong Utd in Thailand. He's supposed to be on a plane from the UK now, as the transfer window closes on Friday. Club boss reckons negotiations are '70%' done. One story doing the rounds is he'll be paid by appearance, rather than a salary, on a 4-month deal.wolfman2011-07-07 13:39:57

I actually sort of rate him, from what I've seen at least. Besides, if Ange has his tubby eyes on him - he should be decent. But yeah, seeing him back here would be fun!

A couple of weeks old, but this has become official. Robbie Fowler has signed for defending Thai champions Muang Thong Utd. The contract is for 1-year, and rumoured to be worth about 20M baht.

No wonder Kris Bright missed out.

$776 million? Farken, if that's what they're paying him, I'm sure I could make a cool $20-30 mil over there.

To be fair EL G would probably play for $776 and full use of a Ladyboy on weekends!

According to the people commenting on his refereeing display last night, the 'lady' is redundant in that statement.

Really,  is this guy worth it ?? Personally I dont think so

The Age today  -  HARRY KEWELL is continuing to delay the announcement of what still shapes as a probable return to play in the A-League - most likely with Melbourne Victory - while he puts in place commercial arrangements outside his playing contract.

Kewell's management is believed to be eager to have non-football contracts and sponsorships locked in before he signs a deal because, under a clause in the standard A-League contract, he would be forced to relinquish substantial image and marketing rights to Football Federation Australia.

FFA regulations mean Kewell would not, for example, be able to sign a deal with a car manufacturer, which is in competition with the A-League's naming rights sponsor, Hyundai. However, existing sponsorships signed before Kewell was contracted to the Victory, or another A-League club, can be honoured.

Kewell is keen to maximise endorsement revenue because he has been unable to reach a satisfactory agreement with the FFA about a promotional deal. The FFA have offered a contract that would earn Kewell a minimum of $250,000, and up to $500,000 annually, over three years. However, he is unhappy with elements of the heavily incentive-based deal and wants to maximise income from other areas.

I think he is. He is a very high profile Aussie player, and it would be no different if Ryan Neslen was to play for the Nix.
