Both great signings. With Hargreaves as well they are looking good for the next few years as Rooney & Ronaldo mature. Good cover for Giggs & Scholes both in the twilight of their careers.

I agree, Nani will replace Giggs on the wing and Anderson
eventually jst an attacking midfielder. Scholes eventually taken
over from a safe player Hargreaves. Will be interesting to see
hardgreaves caz i dnt thnk many of us have seen him play.
Only saw him during the last world cup. Didn't stand out but
Ferguson rates him. Has been after him for a couple of years. Trust
Fergies judgement eh? 2 decades as the best manager in European
football - you'd have to agree with him.
you're right there, Fergie very rarely makes a stuff up when it
comes to squad making...well, maybe the exception is Wes Brown...
Wouldn't really call Brown a stuff up. Good enough at EPL level but
should never have played for England, and if he's the worst player
in your squad then you're doing OK.
Wes Brown came through the youth system so you can't really call
him a signing. Does any one else think United needs to sign another
striker?? Midfield seemed our strongest position this year and now
we have signed three more, although they all seem like good
signings. I think Bellamy or Tevez as a good striker signing. As
for Fergusons bad signings...Massimo Taibi, Mark Bosnich, Eric
Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson, Liam Miller. But you can't argue with his
reputation, he's one of the greats.
i honestly think Wes is getting worse...but fair point Chiefy,
youth system isnt really his fault
Brown is really struggling as the side around him improves, but
Ferguson is not looking to sign defenders. Obviously prefers mid
fielders who create/score on a regular basis which is why he let
Van Nistleroy (and Beckham) go. So don't expect any striker
signings soon. The players Chiefy mentioned also go to show that
Ferguson doesn't mind taking a punt. None of those players were at
the top of their game but he gave them an opportunity to develop
which they didn't all take. Just wondering who Ricki bases his
management style on - Mourinho or Ferguson?
Nani looked pretty good in the u-21 game against Israel!
true his goal was top class
Thats a long twilight...5 or so years. lol
Good thread for laughs, nani, anderson and hargreaves have really become the heartbeat of the team lol
