To - Thats Amore. (from Man UTD)

Man Utd? Gits stole our chant. Brighton were singing that for Bobby Zamora long before they'd heard of Ronaldo: When the ball hits the net like a f'kn (sometimes sang as flying) rocket, that's Zamora (Felipe)

No problem, didn't mean to make you think an apology was due - I should have put a smiley after "gits" to show it's all in jest. We actually recycled the chant ourselves. There was a loan forward, whose name I forget, with a latino-type name that we sang it for first. When he left after a few games and Zamora came in, we kept it as it fitted better. A supporters group even released a recording of themselves singing a full version of the song on CD.... unsurprisingly, especially as it was quite an awful version, it did not dent the charts!

And I'm sure we've stolen as many chants from them too.... that's the way it works.

sorry, didn't know there was such a things as aisle 30 in the stadium.....

anyhow, good work, to all of us. Thought the "ricky herbert yellow army" was fantastic - and we sang it over and over, as we wanted to do.
The rest was really good, I just think, personally, that we need a few more chants for our players. I mean, Wellington, The Phoenix, Ricky and slugging off the opposition chants are super, but I'm sure we could do even better...

Gotta laugh at this guy that thinks Greek Fever/Aisle 30/10 people standing on their own round the other side of the stadium influence the YF zone at all.

Do you have hooters like at the Knights? Do you actually exist? Did you make Greek Fever just to be 'cool'?

I'm with you Uncle. Mambo no.5 is cool and so is Amore...let's do it though!
I think we have an awesome group of supporters. But there is so much more we could do. I've had season passes for AS ROMA in Italy for 5/6 years in a row and spent most of my sundays at the Olympic Stadium..
..I think variety is what we need to improve.
For example:
1) Oh wellington is wonderful....2/3 times
2) Chant for Felipe
3) We're not auckland anymore
4) Ricky Herberts..
5) Chant for Aloisi
   et cetera...

You obiously have a problem my friend. And what ive been saying over the last few days has not yet be pounded enough into that thick skull of yours.

YF was the best thing that happened to the Phoenix supporters, and now to say that people who consider themselves YF supporters, but sit a couple aisles down should just give up chanting or trying to spur the rest of the crowd on is just retarted.

Last week people even said that Aisle 30 was getting the rest of the crowd in it!!!!

No doubt YF owns us and is way louder but god forbid we try and SPREAD THE FEVER!!! isnt that what its all about!???

And theres no such thing as Greek Fever, its just Aisle 30 of YF.

At least one, possibly two Adelaide players flicked us a finger during the match last week.

OK, getting this thread back to reviewing how the chants went in the Perth game...

I'm watching the replay now and am impressed at the noise we made. The noise and atmosphere in the second half is fantastic. If only we could generate that atmosphere every game whether we're leading or not -- I'm sure we'd spur the team on to a win every game!

BUT - interesting to note that in the first half the SKY commentators were saying that the Phoenix defence players were having trouble communicating with each other.
Now, as the first half was played at the YF end, maybe the Nix players couldn't hear above the YF noise
Perhaps, next time when play gets near the Nix goalmouth at the YF end we have a respectful silence so Mossy's instructions can be heard by the defence?

just a thought ......

The gold zone (Aisle 28) can claim the "ole" chant towards the end of the game - yours truly started that one!  Always nice to use that when taking the piss out of a defeated team.

I have to say that in Prawnville the noise from aisle 30 is really decent and when not in sync with the Lager Zone it is difficult to know which chant to follow.  I say you keep up the good work Uncle Steve, you're more likely to actually enjoy the football in aisle 30 as well.  The Olympic boys always made a good atmosphere back in the National League days so if a few more of them filled aisle 30 no-one will be able to say they can't hear you.

Feverish, I think you would have had to be watching the game to start the "ole" chant, and given that by that time the Lager Zone was concentrating on waving their shirts in each others faces it's unlikely you could have co-ordinated each "ole" to each pass.

Aisle 28 watches to the end.

Perhaps because aisle 30 is a lot closer to aisle 28 than the Lager Zone?  Also, for all its self-promotion the Lager Zone is sometimes a wee bit quiet and then aisle 30 can definitely be heard.

Yet another pathetic thread FFS i thought we all support the Phoenix.Who gives a sh*t where chants start from or who is loudest.Dont see why some of you feel the need to sl*g off some zones. Also how the sh*t you could say YF zone not FKN lager zone is quiet really shows you up im afraid.Funnily enough we do enjoy the football in 21/22.

Agree with, not for.

I didn't mis-quote. You said that your little crew of multiple names started a chant and the YF carried it on. Hence, that would be influencing.

Probably a mixture of both the mountain wolves and im a stooge (no idea whats thats supposed to mean)

Seeya there

I take nothing away from ya, but you leave yourself open when you even flirt with the idea you have any influence on the fever zone what so ever. The very name greek fever is stupid. You claim you are not ethnically motivated yet your called the greek fever.... I see we have now changed our name to Aisle 30. Maybe if you get 50, then we will start paying attention. Until then, keep on chanting

Alright i guess at the end of the day, the insults, the smarky remarks, all contructive critisism...well at least i hope.

Who gives a f**k whos louder, whos influencing who, and who the f**k sits where. Were there for the same cause day in and day out. My face might show blue and white but my blood is yellow and black so go NIX!!!

And as for the git formally known as Celtic Fc, stop trying to jump on the bandwagon. Stick to your crackers and coloring in books. Leave the footy to the real men.

And thanks Cantona 4eva, appreciate it. By the way, the Ole chant was started by Aisle 30 ;)

--

And wolfben i changed the name to Aisle 30 for that reason, i want more of the crowd who arent so close to you guys to get in it as well. Like ive said b4, i want to make the ring of fire the hardest place in the A-league for teams to take any points from.

And bit by bit the fever spreads...
