Use the FM data editor (it's in your FM folder) to make permanent
changes to the FM Updates database (such as the addition of
Cleberson or improving Aloisi's workrate and Lochhead's crossing).
Once you've started the game if you still aren't happy with things
get FM Modifier to change player stats or club finances in
game.
There we go guys, seeing that there are already A-League kits
for the other teams (I'm working on updating them) I thought I was
only right to do Nix kits for the updates that delete the Knights.
Tell me what you think. I'll upload the Away kit within the next
couple of mins.
that's awesome mate
cheers!
I've resized it for to fit the same size as the rest of the creased
kits that have been released.
Heres the away kit as well, not as good as the home kit
because I didn't have much time. I will redo it in the next couple
of days.
Just finished the Queensland Roar home kit.
I will be releasing all 16 kits at the end as a pack, probably
on SortitOutSI.
This is awesome, are we going to get this patch done?
What patch?! I have completed all the kits and made a kit pack that
is on www.SortitoutSI.net,
but thats as far as I have got.
How do I get to the download? Can you give me a direct link?
Cheers for that. Anywhere I can get a patch to play with them?
Cause this is only kits ae?
I use FMFormation's latest patch a http://www.fmformation.net/fmf/
It has the name change and squad updates, but lacks in depth Nix
updates. It only takes you a few seconds to update that part
though.

I use FMFormation's latest patch a It is pretty disappointing how little detail there is on
A-league players in FM - even the (unofficial) update patch
you link to leaves most A-league players with very few
realistic stats. According to the FM editor most stats for
Nix players (even those that have been around for a while) are just
randomised.
FM claims to have 20,000 or so scouts working to figure out
accurate player stats - I really hope that there are one
or two in New Zealand who can make things are a bit better in
FM2008.
Mike (pissed that his team's Ross Aloisi ended up with an
Influence of 3 and a Determination of 2)

includes the Phoenix squad (don't think they put Cleberson in it
though, you can grab him from Cabofriense in Brazil).
As stated above, the A-League players have been done pretty poorly, still thats nothing you can't fix yourself. Get Genie Scout for player hunting + seeing what they can potentially turn out as.

I don't mind adding players using the editor because that is
an accurate reflection of reality, but as soon as I start tinkering
with player stats then I start to feel like I am cheating.
This is mainly because I don't feel that I am a good enough judge
of talent to know that I am doing it properly. If I increase
Aloisi's workrate, what do I increase it to? I know the "2"
he might have been given in my game is too low - but is "15" too
high? How does his workrate compare to someone like Robbie
Savage? Buggered if I know.
yeah it's a tricky one. best way is to compare with the overall
A-League standard I suppose. The attributes of some of the Phoenix
reserves are probably fair, but somebody like Tony Lochhead should
definitely have a crossing attribute of somewhere between 13 and
16. Nobody in the A-League would probably have any stat higher than
16 is probably a safe rule.
Another way to keep things balanced is that if you raise a couple stats bring down others by a similar amount. Long throws is one stat that seems to come up high all the time on random players, just knock that one down and distribute the points you get from it into the areas where you think that player is strong.
