Bale claiming spurs are now better than us - I love it when those muppets start talking smack, it's usually the point where they start to collapse. I think a few of their lot made similar claims before both of their recent 5-2 losses to us. We gotta go there next week and get stuck in. 

Chelsea lost this morn, so just the two points ahead of us now. Lots of pressure on spurs to get a result at westham tonight, the race for third/fourth is exciting. 

Average table position of our respective opponents for the rest of the season:

Arsenal: 10.91

Chelsea: 9.82

Tottenham: 9.58

So actually fairly equal-ish draws left for the 3 sides

We do have the easiest run in of the three fighting for the final two top four positions. I'm confident we can get third. I think the NLD is a must-not-lose for us, as opposed to a must-win.

Interesting concept. We have stopped talking about his work, but I wonder whether it's the defensive coach, the manager, or the players not getting it together.

Also look at that goal we conceded again. It's Nacho & Jenkinson defender a 2 v 3, the first header away is AWFUL it just loops up to another player, and then Nacho comes across to finally challenge the Villa player and he doesn't hit the ground, just dangles his foot. Not acceptable.

We've got the 2nd best defence in the league this season. Not always what the media paint it up to be...

Monreal would've played and marked Messi and Ronaldo a few times in his career, not sure how he fared against them, but bale obviously isn't as good so he should back himself. Just get goal-side of those shots! Holtby is overrated so far (and ABB's third attempt to fill that position so far this season, not his strong point), adebayor doesn't deliver in the big games, lennon is one-dimensional, bale is the unpredictable one who can score from anywhere. As long as wilshere, arteta and cazorla keep the ball off their mids it should hopefully be them worrying about which one to mark rather than the other way round. Westham haven't even been playing well and spurs needed a scrappy goal and a late bale stunner - last time we played westham we smoked 4 past them in about 10 minutes.

Although it could be a game for walcott up top if spurs set up a high line, it was hilarious when ABB did that last season when we played a Chelsea.

Agree with Paul's lineup, cant help but think Spurs will attack like buggery to get a goal and then shut up shop. This approach has proved to work against us this season.

WHL will be septic as, unlike last season there is an enhanced belief they will finish ahead of us, time will tell though...

We're leaving it really late this season.

The best scenario is we actually finish 5th this season, then Wenger is forced to rethink a number of players, a big issue is a our captain is a huge liability. Diaby enough said, Ramsey is a squad player at best that contiunally passes backwards or gets stuck by two players on the sidelien/byline and he gets starts ahead of Coquelin and Frimpong is loaned out?? Wouldn't be suprised if mongrel/strength players are brought into defense and the back end of midfield.

It was funny watching the halftime show of Swiss defenders and there is Djourou and Senderos, they all looked good early on in thier Arsenal days ala Vermaelan and then petered out to sub standard quality. We can't even claim TV5 is providing crucial goals like he used to in the first couple of seasons. Couldn't help but think Vertonghan is far better defensively than Vermaelan...

The defence wtf. I only saw the second half though and I thought we did pretty well? Still think we can finish top four though, don't give up, we have an easier run in than both sp*rs and chavs....let's do this.

As for 'fans' saying they hope we finish outside of the top four, I can't stand for that. Disgusting. 

Oh and while I am showing jealousy and talking what if's, the link may have been a rumour only, however Lloris would have been a fantastic buy for us, he exudes confidence to his defense line.

That game showed all that is wrong with our club. Including AW's comments afterward... no Arsene, it wasn't a strange game - we lost to a team of supposedly lesser players and showed little creativity in the front third, poor finishing, and a disorganised defence. To be honest the score flattered us. They created and took their chances. We did neither.

We need to snap out of it. Now.

 To be fair though, prior to this game Arsenal had the best recent form in the league.

Both Vertongen and Lloris had been associated with us. Would have been good to have had both their signatures. Just like Scott Parker would have been a great signing too.

Unfortunately Parker is too old, Vertongen is a Sp*rs fan, and Lloris...well...no excuse really.

I would never wish us to finish 5th, that's awful. I think I can see the logic in it though.

We're still in this, it's just going to be hard work. I think we can read a lot of intention into Arsene's mentality by our trip to Bayern. Has the potential to be a real upset.
