They only thing I don't like is that your account can only be logged in once. Meaning if 2 or more people in your house have an ipad or just on a laptop, only one can watch a game.

Surely it would be better to have an account for 1 household. I'm not sure how they could implement that though tbh.

From the FAQ:

"Why do I have to sign in to use PremierLeaguePass Mobile?

To stream video on PremierLeaguePass Mobile, you'll need a paid subscription to PremierLeaguePass. You can purchase a subscription at PremierLeaguePass.com, or through the PremierLeaguePass Mobile app itself."

This may mean they are offering the subscription as an in-app purchase which you can then tie to your account (You can do this with NBA League Pass) which if this is the case might be worth holding off on the subscription as you could get some itunes cards on special (either 2x$20 for $30 or 20% off are both popular specials) so you could in effect get 20-25% off.

Oh really? Guess thats a safeguard against people sharing accounts across different households. Is it done by IP address (in which case you could do it on multiple devices in the same house) or by device, do you know?
I know MLBTV have something similar. A mate (who lives elsewhere) used to share my account, and I had to text and kick him off sometimes if I wanted to watch a game.

It is done by account, it says in the FAQ you can't be logged in to 2 devices even if you're on the same network.

Doubt you'd have to get a new TV. A new Cable for about $10 perhaps. Then just plug it in. Hardly inconvenient enough for you to choose not to watch it for free after someone gifts it to you.
I did forget that you'll be avoiding it on principle because you seem to like SKYs monopoly and bundling way of delivering content to people. I'll never understand that, so lets not go there again :p
And I find it amusing that you edited your earlier post so it was blank, then reposted it just so that it was at the bottom of the thread.

Ah it does too. Thats a shame. Though realistically how hard is it to just watch the same device or chuck it on the TV. Having it on at the same time on multiple devices would probably hinder the viewing quality too. Probably slightly inconvenient for those more antisocial households who would usually watch it in seperate rooms on sky multiroom or something I guess.

If you have a laptop, then there is no excuse for it being an "inconvenience"

If however, you have one desktop pc that is in a different room to your tv you wish to watch it on, then I will accept.

Yeah fair point. And a fair few people do have that. I think Patrick was saying there are a few devices floating around to solve that problem, but it is an added cost.
Anyway, you can watch ALL games, the quality is good on mine at least, and it starts soon.
Happy!

I'm still undecided on whether I'm going to purchase this. I don't feel particularly compelled to buy a subscription when it is relatively to find an online stream anyway. For someone who knows how to find online streams (a relatively simple task) and has no qualms doing so, is this worth $150?

Reckon it probably is if you're like me and tend to watch the games the next day or over the next week. Unsure about the quality of streams you manage to find, but I imagine the quality will be better too.
Then there's always the warm fuzzy feeling you get knowing you're paying for the content :p

I've mentioned before but just be aware for about a 1/3 of the games of the team you support you'll have to watch live in the early hours as only 26 (of 38) games will be available to view outside of the actual time the game is played (ie 'On demand')

This is my major sticking point, i can handle using Apple TV, or plugging in laptop etc and i like the fact 'magazine style' shows will accessible on my iPad, but for supporters of the top 8 clubs (at least) whose games were available EVERY week on demand (via recording on MySky), this will be very different.

I  dont want to wake up at 3am on a Sunday/Monday morning to watch my team... I loved the fact my 2 boys and I could watch our team play every Sunday or Monday morning on MySky...

I wish they'd partner with a Freeview channel and screen games that way as well, so i could record them...

I thought this too, but I have mentioned in above posts that it isn't true.

It turns out that the games that are outside of the 250 that are available for multiple views, are available to be watched once - either live or on demand. So you can in effect watch all your Spurs (I assume) games on demand, its just that you won't be able to watch a handful of them twice.

It is slightly annoying in that it may require a bit of coordination with others in your household for a couple of games, but it is a lot better than originally thought - which was that you'd have to get up and watch them live, as you said above.

It also means that you can watch ALL games live or on demand. Which is an improvement on sky.

It's fine here, better than isky at least, but only on a work monitor rather than a large tv. Stream can be set to be adaptive, or hard set at a particular rate.

When you are all viewing the sample, bear in mind that it has a lot of cuts and edits, and therefore the streaming has lots of artifacts etc. It'll be much better when watching an actual game, as the compression algorithms will see a fuckload of green grass, and focus on the rest of the stuff on the field more. Non-tech explanation is that actual game footage will look better than the sample footage.

I would have liked Coliseum to put an entire game (or even just extended 15 minute highlights) from last season up so we can see what compare to footage that's actually similar to what we'll be watching most of the time.

Sorry, to confirm you can see Man City v Sunderland from Hong Kong (full game). Looks very nice on laptop, will report in again this evening on a A/B comparison versus some HD Sky content.

Also just worked out how you can superimpose multiple games at once, you can have 4 windows, or 1 large window with a small Picture in Picture.

Yep, just noticed that. It was in a different place to the other sample video on the site.

Can you only see this content once you've subscribed and paid? If so, Seems a bit odd offering trial content to those who have already paid up.

I haven't paid and signed up and could watch the sample - which is a goals highlights package from last season, but i cant seem to see where i can watch anything from the Barclays Asia tournament...

You'd think they'd put the Asia tournament up for free to get people interested...

Yeah you'd think so. I could only find the sample video too. It would ease a lot of people's minds if they could try before they buy, especially with something that would be new to a lot of people.
