Going back to Sky's weekly press releases on their coverage for that week it looks like at a max they covered 7 out of 10 games, with 3 or 4 delayed.
Coliseum Sports - EPL Overlords
General comment.
It's amazing what a little bit of competition can do. Last year, people could watch 4-5 games usually consisting of the top 6 teams. Now this year, there are all sorts of packages available that will suit different people depending of their viewing preferences (teams watched, live/delayed). And that....is a great thing.
I don't know where this information came from - as far as i can remember every game was on SKY last year, not very many live mind you but at some point, could have been 5pm on Sunday for example the game was played.
Not trying to say that was better than what we have now but i have seen several comments about how SKY didn't show every game and i think that they did for most rounds.

Thanks Surge,
We've had a lot of interest in Apple TV, we're already working on an app.
Please find attached connection guide for further information.
Thanks,
Sam.
hopefully one of the nerds in here will be able to answer this - if someone used an ip address blocker (or whatever they are - y'know, things that don't show what country you are in and allow westeners in Dubai to look at porn) would they be able to use their premier league pass overseas?

how hard is it for a non nerd to get a NZ IP proxy? Why would the stream quality suffer, especially if the person was in a country with fast broadband?
I actually don't know if there is a reliable NZ proxy/vpn. Does your friend have an ipad ?
Get him to make a NZ itunes account, download the app when available (before the start of the season) and that should work. It says on the FAQs that is how you view overseas.
I never thought I'd say this then, but nufc is right. Best way, given that they have an iPad is to use the app and plug it into the tv. iPad connects to the tv with surprisingly good quality. And the stream quality wouldn't suffer like it would with a proxy ip (based on experience, I don't know the actual reason as to why it suffers).
I believe if your friend connects to the internet in his country, the stream will go from his computer, to NY, to NZ then back to him before he gets a picture. I can't imagine he would get a smooth bitrate. This is going through a different server to the one we in NZ will be getting.
I thinks that's right anyway. Patrick will be able to explain better than I can.
I love that nufc_nz seems to have found himself in this thread. Organising people to email Coliseum, offering technical advice etc. A rebel with a cause if you will.

Using an iPad should work but I think it would be limited to the usage in the Terms of Service:
1. Access to the Subscription Products
Access to the Subscription Products is limited to residents of, or users located in, New Zealand.
You must not access the Subscription Products outside New Zealand other than in the limited circumstances described in the next paragraph.
If you are ordinarily resident in New Zealand, you may access Subscription Products while you are located temporarily outside New Zealand (for example, on holiday or on business trips of limited duration), on the following basis:
- You must be travelling outside New Zealand, genuinely and bona fide, on a temporary basis.
- You may not use access the Subscription Products outside of New Zealand on any more. than
- 10 consecutive days
- 14 days in any one month period
- 28 days in any 12 month period
- We have complete discretion to determine whether the requirements for access by New Zealand residents have been satisfied. If for any reason we conclude that you do not meet the requirements, it may block your access outside of New Zealand.
So if someone starts the season in NZ and then moves overseas they are not going to be able to use their account without something like an IP blocker.
I notice in your FAQs that you say on demand games will be available "until the next round - so basically a week". What does this mean for rounds that start midweek after some weekend fixtures (particularly over christmas this happens)?
Please wait, an operator will be with you shortly.
You are now chatting with Julio B. - Premier League Pass
14:14Julio B.: greetings
14:15Julio B.: 250 games are available on-demand without restrictions
14:15Julio B.: most of them will be these games
14:16Keegan Check: So, they'll be available even after the next match round starts? The FAQ made me believe differently.
14:17Julio B.: yes 250 games will be available all season, 130 games will be available on-demand in full only until the start of the next round
14:18Keegan Check: alright cheers. Also with those 130 games can you only view them once? If so, what happens if your internet cuts out halfway through a game, or you wish to watch half a game at a time? Or are they available to view multiple times, but only until the next match round?
14:19Julio B.: you can view them as many times as you can until the next round starts

I use hola unblocker (https://hola.org/) for google chrome to watch things from overseas. You just install it, then when on the website you set which country you want to access it through, I don't know whether it would work for premierleagepass but it could be worth a try.

so 250 games available live or on demand to view multiple times for the entire season.
130 games available live or on demand to view multiple times until the next match round.
WAY better than I originally thought.

Yeah, I won't believe it until I see it for that reason. But very good if it is true.

That is very good. It's not what their FAQs implies though. I hope Julio got that right.
You also should have asked him to meet you down by the schoolyard.
Just got offered free premier league pass for the upcoming season. Don't mind if I do....
Lucky bugger - was that via the registration competition or Telecom?
Should I cross my fingers, quickly go home and check my personal e-mail address?
Nah they're sending out emails to journo's asking whether they would like it for free, to improve coverage etc, obviously they want some good promo for it in papers/online. Sounds like a great deal!

Using it poorly or just because everyone else is using it does more harm than good.
Going back to Sky's weekly press releases on their coverage for that week it looks like at a max they covered 7 out of 10 games, with 3 or 4 delayed.
Hmm I've always only ever seen 7-8 games on sky. Maybe about half of which were delayed due to them only having 3 channels.

I have no life - so i would often watch EVERY saturday game on Sunday from 9am on MY SKY and then catch up on Monday night with the normally two games on Monday - i don't remember many if any times last season where i wasn't able to watch every game if i wanted too.
So in my opinion - they consistently covered all the games (with a large amount of them delayed).
As an Everton supporter I can without a doubt confirm that SKY did not show every game each week. There were a number of times where I had to follow the games on the net as there was no coverage (live or delayed). This is reason number 1 why I'm getting the PLP.
Has there been any info about what commentary package plp is going to be using? Same as sky had?
Yep, they will be getting the exact same international feeds as Sky did.
