Lets make some assumptions for a moment and please feel free to poke holes in my logic

1: That ground has been used in a sports capacity before

2: Tickets have been sold to that ground before

3: Thus, capacity for that area is known and thus the correct amount of tickets were sold for that area

4: Being a preseason game, I am sure Ticketek or whomever were going 'yep this will be a sellout, lets cram them in and milk this cow for all its got'

5: Did security say 'hey, every one get up, stand up and all crush each other?' Nope, that would be their (was it 'fuckwitty'?) spectators

6: What are 6 or 7 security guys going to do against a mob?

7: Its easy to say "what would happen in the event of an emergency  requiring an evacuation and/or the movement of people from one section  to another" and put the blame back on others but again, refer to point 5.

8: Granted if an emergency did happen, they only have to look inwards as they are the fuckwits causing the issue of crushing. If they stood like normal supporters and I don't hear of issues at Old Trafford with there 70k fans and crushing (and lets point any other teams, AFL... EPL teams) then there would not be an issue. But its someone elses fault right?

9: If Big John Studd security came along and said 'excuse me, some of you have to move on to another area' do you think they'll go 'yeah mate no worries'. Go stand in the corner by yourself if you think that will happen.

If you think this is bollocks, please tell me so and why. Otherwise, yes, they are pack of fuckwits. Jealous? Oh absolutely...

Looking at that, I dont think you have read the blog at all and have made up a scenario to suit yourself.

You are correct mostly Hep. I wrote this based on the snippet Ryan posted and the brief 3 min highlights package of the goals online and them all gong bonkers. My assumption was Ryan grabbed this from their forum? If there is a blog, I'm not aware of it.

It's such a childish joke as well. "If you like Sydney then you're gay", real playground stuff.

It amazes me it's still on their account. Just take it down, say "whoops sorry" and move on. Instead it's still there and providing a platform through the comments and attendant publicity for a minority of their members to prove what a bunch of muppets they are.

That was me and there is no way I will even consider condoning that - it is cuntish and pathetic in equal measures.

I stand by my statement regarding the green eyed monsters based on many other comments made on here.  "oooohhhhh, they have a massive sense of entitlement" - what bunch of fans don't?  "oooooh they let off some flares" - so?  "oooohhh, they have some fuckwits in amongst them" - I am sure we would to if we had 10x the members we do.

I am in no doubt that they have a massive number of absolute weapons in their ranks - wannabe hoolies who get off on being someone when hidden away in the mob, but the bottom line is that they generate great numbers, and they create a great atmosphere.  That is something that YF aspire to.  I think that Sydney and Melbourne have had exactly the same problems over the years but have always been accepted or tolerated by us because they were clubs that had been in existence longer before us and we were growing the YF brand.  What eats away at us is that WSW are newer than us and have created something that we have never been able to do.  That is where the jealousy and petty comments come from.

Or it just could be because Hard News said he didn't like them and all the little sheep on here followed his opinion (see Burns, Jacob).

Regarding JV and FM's comments above, I think sometimes we don't draw a clear enough distinction between WSW the team, WSW the club, all WSW supporters, the RBB, and a minority of the RBB who are a bunch of complete bell-ends. I am jealous of the first four (and why not?) but not the last one.

Frankie is an Iron, he also hates the yids. And when he went to Sydney, we all know where he hid...

Completely agree FM. The reason the Aussie groups have a better atmosphere is that they accept a bit of an edge to things and don't have others calling  security when someone heats things up.

The day I gave up was when a larger than life scouser (a few out in the Western Suburbs know him) came into the zone second half with a few beers down him. The atmosphere was dull until he turned up, he got things going and a few new songs...

After downing a beer he throws a plastic bottle up about 5 metres into the air and alot of the Fever close to him went to security and pointed him out for throwing objects which ended in him being evicted from the Stadium. Then to come on here and see people slagging him off I couldnt believe it. I'd rather be in a stadium with 10 sorts like him than 1000 of the people that made lawn bowls look lively.

Interesting point Frankie.

Am I actually jealous of anything of WSW and the entire package. To be honest no with one exception. There is nothing about their players, their set up, their fans, that I am jealous of. The only thing I am jealous of was their league ranking last year. That is all.

I am not sure if we had 10 times the numbers, that we would have the same issues. Its inherently obvious, their attitude and issues are top down (the twitter thing on their official account for example). Does YF run by that same model whereby Patrick, HN, Smithy, 2B and co have that same attitude? No, hence we don't attract the weapons (good word). Their folk are like a beacon for 'fuckwits gather here' and encourage it. We don't.

We play them at their home 2nd round, 20 Oct, the place will be chokka, and quite intimidating

G'day everyone. Are we all looking forward to the start of the season? Too bloody right! The off-season is waaaay too long.

I'm a massive Wanderers fan. Looking forward to round 2 verses you blokes. The game should be a sell-out. The 'Nix will need to bring their A-game to Wanderland. There will be 20,000 mental WSW fans roaring on our team.

Hopefully we get to see more 'Nix fans at the game compared to last time you visited. There were what, maybe 20? I wanna see a full away bay this time and get the place rocking!

Quite a few of us are thinking about coming over for the New Years Day game against you, we play the Heart in Melb on Boxing Day so it;ll be a good chance for a double header. Should be a pretty full away zone!

Thanks for the welcome.

Great to hear about the new years day plans. There's something extra special when you go with a large travelling contingent away to a hostile arena/city. Your fellow fans become best mates for a day. Enjoy the city, enjoy the pub and enjoy the Wanderland experience. I did the Melbourne Victory away trip last season and it was better than a home game in so many ways.

I went to seven hills the other week to catch our blokes v you blokes. Yep, 2 late goals saved our blushes. It was a tight game and Welly put in a decent show. Saw one bloke in a 'Nix jersey! :)

I'll keep you updated with our latest anarchist statements too ;)

Thanks, bro.

Overnight the Wanderers had a nice 2-2 draw playing J-League team Shimizu S-Pulse over in Japan. A decent effort considering the quality of the opposition. Our first game in Japan turned out pretty well. We were unlucky not to have won. Shimizu scored in the dying seconds.

Security officers were later shocked to find that a supporter working at the SCG had allegedly misused his position to bypass authorities. A private building contractor had his employment terminated on Monday after allegedly sneaking inside and hiding a flare inside piping beneath seats reserved for the Wanderers supporter group, the Red and Black Bloc.

It is understood the man was picked up during a review of CCTV footage by the SCG Trust security unit. He is alleged to have accessed the south end of the stadium in the hours before the match, using his position as a third-party contractor to gain entrance and hide the flare.

Yeah but for once, I took it as humorous banter. They are right. GF and currently top of the league. I hate the RBB, but respect the performance on the field which at a better level than anyone else.

Put a different way, I prefer this stuff than their previous militant tendencies and 'we get picked on' cry.

I took it as a statement to the traveling Victory fans, rather than a comment about their teams performance.
