Sounds like I will be "watching" the first two games via "Yellow Fever Forum" Arena, unless my local pub has coughed for it. Ah well.

If you don't want to/or cant watch it on sky just watch it for free on the internet.

I use Wiziwig all the time. Its pretty good to be fair. Use the BT sport link and start it half an hour before and you should catch Iffy and co doing the build up and be able to sort out any issues before it all kicks off :)

I wonder if the club are aware of the Vodafone subcribers inability to use Arena. Lost income for sure. Oh dear.

Ok I haven't been in the fever zone for about 4 years... so need to ask a rookie question

Bought tickets for four of us in there, aisle 22. Obviously we'll be standing, but do people still stand where their allocated seats are? Or do you just stand in any part of the zone?

Seems there are $35 tickets for Aucko still available? That's a fair price IMO.

Issue I guess us the next cheapest is $80! Bit of a lack of middle ground.

I think if Steve-O accidentailly became happy one day, he'd complain that he wasn't used to feeling this way... and that it wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

I'd imagine for this it would have to be allocated seats just because of the amount of new people involved.

Not about me being 'happy' 2nd Best, just giving a view that tickets for this tour are on the high side. It seems unless you are positive about absolutely everything on this forum you are shot down.

Looking forward to the games regardless, but think $115 for a YF ticket is too much when a season pass in the same area is only $75.

Just checked on Ticketek before - $115 for Wellington, $99 for Auckland. Plus another $5.25 on top, minimum.

So you were being misleading.

$115 gets you two games. And that game is looking like its coming close to selling out. So clearly the price isn't too high.

Who was I misleading? It is $115 for a ticket on Saturday for 2 games, it is $189 for a season pass for at least 10 games at Westpac + 3 others elsewhere.

The Wellington tickets have been on about 26,000 for several weeks now, is it any coincidence it's only expensive tickets left?

10 games against A league opposition that we play every year vs 2 games vs EPL opposition for the first time in 30+ years.

Comparing apples with oranges.

You can't say the stadium is close to a sell out, then say ticket prices are clearly too high.

Its $60 per game in Wellington, one game with west ham playing, the other with newcastle playing. Thats great value.

10 competitive games vs 2 friendlies. Apples and oranges indeed.

We could debate it all day I'm sure, we'll have to agree to disagree.

I'd just be interested to see the sales of $139 & $115 tickets vs tickets of less than $100. I think most of the 26,000 would come from the latter category.

Now that the discounts for season members etc have all stopped and the cheaper tickets are all gone, ticket sales appear to have stalled. That indicates that there are too many tickets at the higher prices to me.

Id be happy to be proven wrong and see 33,000 there on Saturday!

Again, its not exactly a friendly vs Olympic being played at petone memorial. They are 2 EPL sides.

To illustrate the added value the EPL sides bring, the preseason game at the stadium vs WSW will be priced significantly lower than these games. It is also a preseason friendly. Yet despite the significantly lower price, there will barely be anyone there.

This ISNT just a regular preseason friendly. People are more excited about these games than any regular or preseason game against A league opposition. So of course tickets are priced higher. And people are buying those tickets.

I can undertand Auckland being a bit high (as it is $99 per game vs $60 per game in wellington). But you have to weigh any reduction in price with how many more people it would actually get to the game on a weeknight in Auckland, I don't think many. The Grabone tickets help capture those people, while the higher priced tickets capture those willing to pay that much, and generate a bulk of the revenue. If all tickets were $35 you would get more people, but less money for the club.

Maybe. Do we know how many top price tickets have been sold in Auckland though??

I see there are more Grabone tickets for Auckland today at $37...be interesting to see how many of those go and how quickly.

Those are the $79 tickets if anyone reading this is interested!

Any word if Newcastle Bitter are going to sponsor the games here on Saturday? Not a rumour or a fact, just a damn good idea! Although in the current temperature department a Drambui hidden inside the beer (Known as a depth charge) might be in order to warm one up.

How about you go here Steve-O and make a donation.

It's up to you how much you give, so you can't claim it's too much...

...well, actually, given that it is you, you probably will find a way.

How is donation to charity relevant to my views on ticket prices?

If I choose to donate it won't be to prove anything (what exactly, I don't know) to any of you.

Because the constant fact that you moan about every single fucking little thing. People think I am a miserable cunt but Jesus you really take the cake. Its two fucking EPL sides. Fly to the UK and tell me with airfare, accom and tickets, if you can do that for less that $60 per game. Even if you hired a camper and did the length of the country to see all 3 of the 4 games it would STILL be cheaper. And you are whinging about $115 for two football games?

You have never once come on here and started a session with positivity. Not fucking once. Why don't you make an effort to change that perception and sprinkle some rare-as-rocking-horse-shit Steve-O love about and make a donation. Even if its $1. We can sit there and tell you how wonderful you are for 5 mins cause you were positive for a change.

Fuck me you really are hard work

Afraid I have to disagree that prices are too high. 26,000 tickets at the current price could well equate to more $$$ than 34,500 at a reduced price (whatever price that may be, of course we will never know).

If we had only sold 10,000, Id say the prices are too high.

And for what its worth, I paid $129 for my 2 game ticket, no regrets.

Bordering on rule 5 I reckon JV.

Nothing says he has to be positive about everything (or in this case anything), and whether or not he donates doesn't actually have anything to do with his view on ticket prices. I'm also sure he doesn't care if we see his forum personality as being miserable.

You are absolutely correct but there is also no harm done in pointing out that the point of view being held is completely unreasonable which is usually where Steve-O lives in the spectrum. I just did it in a more forceful/frustrated manner.
