When you think about it, that's a seriously dumb move. How many people would have spam/language filters in place at work (for those whom supplied work email addresses) or ISPs whose email filters are a bit thick?

That's a huge facepalm if true.

Actually, looking at it in a bit more detail, the body of the emails says:

"Hi Fuck

The Barclays Premier League is two rounds old and who would've picked Swansea to be in the top three?"

It seems the account registered with this email address has been set up with the name Fuck.  Don't recall setting it up like that and it doesn't seem like something I would do (I tend to use Frankie Mac or Bobby Moore) but I do have a number of idiotic friends. It does explain the weird email that was received, although I would expect that their system that spams all email addresses would pick something like that up.

Ah ha! That makes much more sense!

Seriously?

I don't believe they would do this. Can you get a screenshot ?

They try to be 'edgey' on social media etc but tend to take that too far at times IMO.

that is the odd thing - when I saw it I didn't even think that there was another logical explanation . I just assumed that they were being "edgy" because it seems the sort of thing that they would do.

TAB odds on how this happened:

$1.25 Frankie got drunk and thought it was a giggle

$1.50 Greenie got drunk and thought it was a giggle.

$2.80 Someone at PLP knows Frankie and doesn't like him

Must be missing something, am new to PLP, when looking in the highlights section there seems to be everything but the round highlights.

Have watched Premier League World and the Preview shows, where is the highlights of each round hiding??

Yeah, used to watch that, just assumed now that paying for the pass we would have a Monday night show rather than waiting until Wednesday

Despit the poor result, was quite happy with this morning with the Leicester-Arsenal game. Best experience I've had with PLP. Really good picture quality and for whatever reason I didn't get the judder I've usually had. Not quite as good as on Sky and it still had a web stream feel about it but will be pretty happy if every game is as good.

I might go back to using the iPad, I was watching this morning via iPad Air to Apple TV to 42". But like I've said a number of times the picture is 'ok', but the pic does stutter (only minimally but enough to notice) and is not on a par with Sky.

Sad as i do quite enjoy getting up on a Monday morning after wife and kids have gone and settling in with a cup of coffee in front of the TV to watch a game (although a horror show this morning!)

I'm not sure what setting I can use to improve it, or if that's just as good as it gets. We have VDSL and 35/11 upload/download speeds, so that shouldn't be an issue at all...

I have ADSL with 10/1 upload/download speeds and no issues getting the highest quality without any buffering or anything and it's perfect on the laptop, just usually get the judder when it's connected to the TV but this morning was the best I've ever got it. Seems that it's a different experience for everyone depending on your equipment, your internet and possibly where you are located.

If you're throwing the picture onto your tele with an Apple TV then the problem with the picture stuttering is almost certainly because of that.

You're asking your wireless router to fire the picture to your iPad/laptop, and then back from your iPad/laptop to your TV. Most routers just won't do it, especially the cheap ass routers that ISPs give you for nothing.

You can upgrade your router or you can just buy a cable to run your iPad to the TV (recommend) and then you'll get exactly the same picture on your tele that you get on your iPad.

Apple TVs are pretty shit to be honest. I've owned one for over a year and have yet to find a good use for it.

I am on my 2nd Apple TV, and think that it is brilliant.  Why only last night I watched 50/50 and 6 degrees of seperation on Netflix via Apple TV, and this morning I listened to the radio on the television via an app on my phone as I was getting ready.

Yeah I have had a rude response or two from them also. Recently asked them a simple question about why they can't have local times on their schedule, got a rude response (Patrick then coded it in 2 hours, making them look like an idiot). I then got a tweet from their other account @PLPHelp (or whatever) apologising for the behaviour of their colleague and answering my question.

They really need to look into their 'edgey' social media presence, and think hard about what they want to get out of it. It's only serving to lower their reputation in my eyes.

I'm not sure they have a Marketing team.

I think they just got some IT guys in and said right we're going to assign you all jobs as well as tech support...

'Melvin - you've got coffee making and Twitter'

'Eugene - you've got vacuuming and Facebook'

'Sherman - you've got dishes and emails'

etc...

You listened to the radio, on your tv, via your phone, through your Apple TV?

I think you're trying too hard.

With a decent TV you can access Netflix directly.
