Alright team, I dug this out of storage... does anyone have any old and unwanted from 2010 or earlier they'd want to either show-off and share here, or be open to sell for cash?

Class, is it this one? Anything pre early 2000s is surprisingly rare though guess exists quietly in people's wardrobes or on the wall. I'm looking at doing a pop up thing with shirts, programmes and tickets for the March games in Auckland. Want to bring the history, celebrate and share it. Am sure there are plenty of geeks out there.QLnVDyaXjtoPMPH (2).jpg146.08 KB
Supporting the supporters and love an away day anywhere in the world. Kiwis Can Fly!
One of these recently sold for £200, but they're so rare that you can't put a number on it. The sizing, the ferns down the shoulder, and the kiwi throughout the fabric. A shirt that personified the era but was completely individualised for NZ when most around that time from Adidas 80s to Pony and probably all of 1998-2002 adidas were copy and paste templates.Marto

Am pretty sure this is what the Olympic team wore in 2000 when Ryan was captaining them in that playoff v South Africa (where Scott Booth, still with hair, was SA captain).

This is what they wore in WC qualifying in 97 when Wynton returned - they put big goals on Fiji and PNG and then got monstered by the Socceroos who went on to play Iran in the playoffs...

the strip when we beat Australia in Brisbane to qualify for Confeds 99 in Mexico!! Beautiful...
Yesss, U17 world cup here in 1999 too. Great era and shirt that personified those times with loose fit and sleeves down to elbows. KX7TOCFCH42XYAD4EAD4T7GHP4 (2).jpg333.81 KBKhalil Media

The home shirt is pretty much what was leaked back in October - just a slight change to the collar by the looks of it - the leaked one had a grey stripe.
I wonder how easy it will be to see the pattern on the black away shirt outdoors
Playing shirts signed by All Whites will go under the hammer at the Centre Circle dinner to be held on Friday April 17, 2026, at Chateau on the Park, Christchurch.
The dinner will bring together some of New Zealand football’s biggest names, including players and coaches from the 1982, 2010 and 2026 cup campaigns.
Only a few tickets remain for the dinner and bids in the auction can only be taken from those present at the event.
Going up for auction are:
A new World Cup All Whites shirt signed by members of the 2026 national side, and some players from the 1982 and 2010 campaigns.
A Motherwell shirt signed by All Whites forward Eli Just.
A Sheffield United shirt signed by All Whites defender Tyler Bindon.
A Portland Timbers shirt signed by All Whites defender Finn Surman.
A Millwall shirt signed by All Whites goalkeeper Max Crocombe.
The dinner celebrates New Zealand’s participation in a third FIFA Men’s World Cup.
The timing of the dinner gives guests the option of also attending the men’s A-League match between the Wellington Phoenix and Western Sydney Wanderers at Apollo Projects Stadium on Saturday April 18, 2026 (5pm).
Why are we trying to change the colours of our home kit??? Everywhere I look the black kit is marked as the home kit, and the white kit the away. Why are we trying to rugbify ourselves because "it's synonymous with NZ sport". Why are we throwing away our own identity in favour of brand hymogyny or whatever bullshit reason?
Also if we go through with this, who the fuck are the All Whites then? What are we gonna call oursleves, the Silver Studs?, the Ball Blacks?
From about a week ago, an article on this although of the opposite opinion.
Black does offer a lot of benefits, in that nobody else plays in black (whereas plenty of teams play in white), the black kits pretty much always look better and it is instantly recognisable as being New Zealand. Alongside this, the main reason we don't play in black (it having been reserved for referees), no long applies.
Nickname obviously we take inspiration from our highly creative women's team and go the "Football Blacks" (but seriously we could ditch the rip-off "All Blacks" name and pick a cool native animal, most of which aren't being used).

100% agree. I hate the black "rugby" kit. The AW kit has a long proud history. Its part of our football culture. Why should we submit to some sort of bland generalisation of NZ sport branding. Its not who we are. For too long football and the AWs have lived in the shadow of the ABs. Now we are having our time in the spotlight. Why change the very thing that makes us different.
Every other country has colourful kits, yet good old NZ insists on black. The colour of doom, death, funerals. It's a very negative colour. Depressing. Just cause some dipshit doing a newspaper press in 1903 or thereabouts, screwed up the template from All Backs to All Black's.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!
You see I don't mind the black kits of most of our teams. I think it can look quite slick, but why do we have to change? It's sort of like they're going "congratulations, you can be as important as the rugby now!" and I just roll my eyes. I don't think the rebrand will work, but it's the same type of "New Zealand Phoenix" bullshit.
But I agree there's something to be said about us being a country of incredible natural beauty, wearing the literal embodient of there being a lack of colour lol
The thing is with branding, like a football shirt, is that it identifies you with a team. You put on a Barcelona or City shirt people everyone knows. If i bought a black AW shirt and wore it in the streets in Auckland or Sydney or London 99% of people would say...its an All Black kit. At least if it was a white AW kit they would read to logo before making any assumptions. I would never buy a black AW kit. The last thing i would want is to be mistaken for a rugby supporter

This has tickled my interest for a few years (because they have been listed this way for a few years) and I have finally got around to asking Puma, with no response as yet
You can see similar differences between what the team says and what manufacturers say with the Wellington Phoenix this year (the cream kit is called the third kit by Dynasty, but the away kit by the club)
In terms of what the All Whites have actually worn in this World Cup cycle
White (22): China, China, Greece, Republic of Ireland, Egypt, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tahiti, Vanuatu, United States, Tahiti, Malaysia, Vanuatu, Samoa, Fiji, New Caledonia, Ivory Coast, Ukraine, Australia (2025 H), Norway, Ecuador, Finland
Black (10): Sweden, Qatar, Australia (2023), DR Congo, Tunisia, Mexico, Australia (2025 A), Poland, Colombia, Chile
Nine of their 10 home matches have been in the white kit, with the one exception coming last month when they launched their new kits
At the World Cup will they have an identified home team and away team, re who wears what strip? AI tells me "if two teams have similar colors, FIFA decides which team must change, often resulting in teams wearing their alternative or "third" kits."
Note Iran predominantly play in white, Egypt and Belgium in red.
So it might be a black wearing AWs in game one, reverting to a white strip for games 2 & 3.

I'm pretty sure that the previous kit supplier also had black as the home colour at the end of their contract?

Iran might be asked to play in Red, White & Blue ?? That'd cause a stir.

dont know which regime would be upset by that more, the US or Iran?
IMG_9201.jpeg205.24 KBI like the black kit and am supportive of it as our home colour. I prefer the idea of the team matching a national sporting identity rather than football trying to separate itself from our other national teams.
