Moss out with a twisted knee according to Piney, so Spoonley has been called into the squad. Why does Ricki think that Spoonley is the third best keeper in the country at the moment when he can't even make the first XI for ACFC...

EDIT: Azevo just raised the point that a bunch of our keepers are in Fiji at the moment. Hmm.

I'm sure he doesn't but no time for gleeson to get here. id argue that spoonley is better than gleeson and basalaj at this stage though. spoonley was terrific against heart. him not playing for ACFC is not a form issue...

Should clarify, by 'in the country at the moment' I meant physically in New Zealand, and able to get to Dunners for tomorrow. Didn't take into account that O'Keffe and Basalaj are away at the moment.

How can FIFA not give us a yes or no answer on Durante's eligibility? Surely it's pretty simple.

Once they get the info from NZF they will write to Oz f/ball who will then have to replay - then the FIFA reply to NZF.

For the Nix game there were 35 I organised tickets for from Wellington. This time I know of less than 10 coming from Wellington. The short lead-in time meant more expensive flights.

If we win tomorrow I will do my best to lobby NZF to decide where to play the final qualifier ASAP. Apparently an estimated 15,000 visitors were in Wellington for the Bahrain match. People need time to make the plans and find affordable transport and accommodation options. As much as I would love this match to be in Wellington (if we qualify for it), if it is to be in Auckland at least let us know early.

I know of a Footballsouth employee who booked tickets to Auckland for the Bahrain match before the venue was announced.

We have to qualify first, don't jinx it, we could appear over confident, New Caledonia deserve respect (ayyye!)

Aware we haven't advanced. Just saying that if we win tomorrow it's time to plan on location ASAP.

Damn about Moss. In other news seats on halfway are currently available...

My understanding is they have a reply. But it is legally ambiguous.

From what I understand NZF provided all the info plus a letter from the FFA given Durante the all clear.

Because we're NZ and theyve probably given the matter to some intern to pick up or some chit... If we were Spain or England or Brazil or whoever i bet this wouldve been done and dusted already.

Killen looks like he'll be playing DM. That worked out very well for us when we tried it before...

would have liked to see a 4 man defence, flanked with hogg and bertos with wee mac and the godfather running the midfield. but nevertheless im keen as mustard for this game! I hope at least 8000 ppl get along....

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

In what world other than Ricki's head is Killen a better option in central midfield than Payne or Keat?  I truly don't understand it.

This does not look like a football team set up to play football, very unbalanced.

Speaking of betting, the Solomons are paying $4.25 to beat bottom of the table Tahiti this weekend. I chucked a few dollars on them.

We're completely overloaded with attacking players - I just can't see how we're actually going to fit this onto the pitch.  Is this the team he would pick to play an intercontinental playoff match?  Would Killen start for an NZFC team in central midfield - I doubt it
