In two years he played about 4 games before going to the NSWPL where he was good but not spectacular.

Talk was he burnt bridges with AWs camp.

i know he also got tubby, but they must have been significant bridges burnt because he was quite effective for us.

i remember him coming on against costa rica when we were getting done and looking several notches above the rest of our side at the time

thought he only did a year with APIA. anyway he's played the last 5 or so games and scored a brace. might be on the way back!

Not sure either the NSWPL or the FInnish Premier League are a high enough level to get an AWs call-up these days even if you are tearing up.

Amusingly his numbers are 19 games 4 goals for Tampere.  18 and 4 for APIA and 18 and 4 for KuPS.

He's certainly consistent.  Still, 59 games in over 4 years since he left Fulham isn't much.  That's less than some ASB Prem players have played.

 good point

if you believe his wiki profile, stu kelly is also tearing up the finnish premier league

adam highfield also did quite well there and never got the call despite the fact we had no decent keepers at the time

Who scored?

McGlinchy. 18 yard driven low into the bottom corner.

Tahiti are getting 10 behind the ball well. Its well packed around the edge of the 18.

Game is being played at 100 mph but is a bit shite to be honest.

We are just being less shite than them.

Case in point - Rojas falls over the ball in 6 yard box.

Sideline guy:

McGlinchy is by far and a way the best player on the park but he is living in 20 yards of free park to do what he likes. Tahiti have not figured out to stand on him yet.

McG close again.

The standard of play in this game is terrible though.

It's like a Div 5 game - heaps of huffing and puffing but zero skill.

We need to settle a little.

Tommy Smith nearly scores "the ugliest goal in the world ever". Actually hard to describe.

The surface looks to be a but too slick for the players. The ball is really kicking on and the players are slipping everywhere.

Was that a penalty? Killen fucked that up surely? Unless he was attempting some kind of drag-back?

Sometimes we show as much respect for the ball as MSD does for its clients data.

Hey you bastards I'm still here.

Killen taken in the box by the keeper. To be fair, the ball had gone past both of them so I think penalty and yellow card

Amongst the headless chooks McG's head at least seems only partially severed.
