Oman look pretty good, if anything they missed an easy one earlier on, and think they just need  to slow it down abit, Great that AW are leading though, but our style is very boring, our defence looks like crap and I still hate the coach

Oman pace does not let up, There very well drilled to play there style for 90min.

Nicely taken goal by Wood. Oman turned over the ball 25 metres out. Wood made a nice angled run behind the defense....someone?? threaded through a nice pass...Wood ran around the ball, picked his spot and hit it in across the keeper.

After that it was mostly one way traffic. Oman had 8 shots  after 30 minutes to our one(Woods goal) We came back into the game a bit towards the end of the first half but they are by far the better team. Its only been our scrambling defense and some wayward shooting thats kept them out. We seriously miss having a CDM....they are just streaming through that zone and then going wide.

Our passing game is limited. We can pass OK in open space but as soon as we get into congested zones we turn over the ball. We have hardly got into their box since Wood scored. 

On the plus side we are defending in numbers and seem to keep our shape quite well. Our organised attack is non existant.....ocassionally Rojas or Thomas???  make ground but as a collective there is little in the way of constructive buildup of play. The defenders are looking OK.

If we keep our shape we could nick a point out of this.

Horrible to see a player injured like poor Cameron.....he was screaming in a terrible way when the cart took him off. It looks very serious

that's looked like a knee recon for the lad. Unfortunate as he looks good

Agree that we are riding our luck. I go back to Hudsons statement (and someone mentions it above) "We will have a distinctive style and know how we play"   Dude we play long ball and can't defend. We all know it cause we are watching it.

I just don't get how you can't add Smeltz, Brockie, Boyd, Howiseon, Payne, Keat, Henderson, James, Riera (eligible now?) Smith, Reid, Tuiloma, Moss and feel like you don't have an instantly better side. I didn't have to think hard about those names either.

How are Musa or Old (just two names to make a point) worse than Brotherton? We have to be missing a detail here that he/NZF know but we don't.

The only positions we really struggle with are fullbacks cause we don't have any that are effective.
