My wife is 39 weeks pregnant and experience bricks and hicks - she has been told, there is to be no birth today under any circumstances.

I want to hide in the corner of my staff room with my other teachers and watch the game in peace whilst being an "active" participant in the staff meeting.

Cmon the All Whites!!

There's no chance in heck that we'll score the first goal, is there.  None - right?  None at all.  Zero chance. Not even a little.

And the team FIFA ranks 100 places higher always wins.  Right?

Charge of the Light Brigade time.  Smash em boys. Swords versus cannons.

You have an opportunity here... tell your work your wife has gone into labour.. go to pub and watch game.  Then say it was a false alarm if they ask about your newborn baby tomorrow.

(Also, If NZ win and it ends up being a boy, you have to name the baby after whoever scores!)

Have talked about the name idea.. we have no idea what to call him as of yet.

Thought about using it... but no way my DP would buy it sadly!

Looks like you're going to have to pull the "I've got appendicitis and need to go to hospital" trick instead then. You can't miss this game :)

If it's a boy, it's a Winston or Wynton.

If it's a girl, it could be Lima, but I'd rather you called her Tuiloma.

Reckon Hudson saying everyone was fit was a load of crap from the beginning. No Wood. No Smith. Fudge sake.

I am having heart palpitations, I don't even think Durante is good enough to start for the Nix anymore

I have heard people here justify it saying "you get what you ask for" referring to comments by NZF boss.

That's a bit pathetic imo. He asked for a hostile environment in NZ, which he didn't get, one single bit. The only thing that could be construed as hostile was not allowing the peruvians to bring in musical instruments, but this clearly isn't retaliation for that. We even had our annual legal fireworks period in the week before the game, so there were plenty around, yet no one did anything like this.

I think the precedent set by NZ's lack of hostility around the first leg totally overrules this justification.

Anyways, who cares, this will just make it sweeter if we win. And if we lose, meh, 10th beats 122nd, slow clap for that then.

Us kiwis are too nice to get into that hostility shark lol, I just wanted to have a great time at the game in Wellington which I did and make some Peruvian friends which I did :)

We also don't have any jets in our air force - don't think a couple of soundsair cessna's over the bolton quite has the same effect

2 × B757s bro ;)

Wow, no Wood again.

We will be hanging on for dear life until he gets on.  Need him on much closer to half time if he is going to have a chance to do anything.  I just can't see us scoring without him on - we looked completely innefectual on Saturday without him.

Did you catch the video inside the stadium with still an hour to go...

Hudson was never going to give the Peruvians any heads up.

Smith was always an outside chance.

Is Wood on the bench? Hoping to get an hour out of him maybe

Wood not starting. Tuiloma and Durable start.

We also have one less man up top with Rojas off - so it will basically just be Kosta up there. We will be inviting pressure until Wood comes on, which is a dangerous move.

I don't have much faith in Tuiloma either..

Watching Honduras last night - you need to go for it at the start when the hosts are still nervous. Once they settle into their rhythm and put the pressure on, we're fudgeed. We won't do that with this team.

Was feeling quitely confident until i saw the line ups, no rojas, smith or wood, 3 of our best players. Kosta doesnt have the strength to hold the ball up either, the pressure will be immense

Rojas on the bench as well.
