Look at Wood’s run before Singh took a sublime touch to set up the 1:1 - awful play, he’s got no idea where to godjtim3000

Bring off Wood, he cant score in big games for us, never has, never will (maybe Mexico at the Confeds the exception that proves the rule). Bring on Kosta
Do people think I am being serious here? Or was the attempt at a joke that offensively bad. I feel like the Joker, why is everybody so serious?!djtim3000

Could this be a potential lineup at a World Cup? We don’t really do much damage with our wingers in games Imo. Our best work will be through the middle with the quality we have so we may aswell utilise it.
It allows us to stay narrow defensively too and overload the midfield with the defensive power we have in there too. IMG_4842.png481.55 KB
Ooooh jeez Tim Payne. That's not how you curry favour against those who have said you were half assing it in the FFA cup and that the RB position is the one weak link in yhe AW's line up.
Fantastic half. I think most of us know it’s just been a matter of getting our best players on the park. To think Stamenic, Cacace and Surman aren’t even on the field.
You can see the confidence seeping through Just after his start to the season (even although not everything is coming off).
Is there a possibility that Stamenic could do a job at RB? Just thinking of how good Szoboszlai was there for Liverpool, being a more attack minded player. Otherwise I think Bindon at RB has real merit with Surman coming in at CB.
Thomas looks so good. Forgot how good he was.
Don’t forget Stanger playing RB at Kilmarnock and Kirwan too in Italy! And Payne will improve. It’s almost a bluff- a weakness that could be a strength if he pulls it off.
Stanger is playing at Killes as a CB, he’s never played as RB anywhere I’m pretty certain
ok, for all the tim payne doubters, we just saw an example of callan elliott's defensive weakness. he was totally gazumped by a cross frield pass, because his defensive body and field position is not good.
he got away with it.
he's a tidy gfootballer, but well behind payne imo
I sense we’ve played out our main cards this evening. It’s been a success. More into training run material. Pity there’s a scoreline that will make the headlines. Come on you fringies!
Ah yeah, the biggest 'what if' ever in nz football. Though given hes not had the same stress on his body for so long because of injuries, might see a bit of longevity for Thomas.

I was guna say- he was saving himself until Woodsy was in peak form and there was a team around him he could really play ball with!
Now is the test, when we’ve got a few weaknesses. 5-6 players down from best xi.
exactly. We are bringing on a league players while they are about to bring on more championship players....
A great game. But Depth is still our weakness.
I think we might have a better first XI, but they’ve got a bunch of players- even players like Leckie and Behich are playing near the top of the A league and would be okay top of league one/ perhaps bottom Championship you’d think.
I’m sorry, but I don’t think Kosta can be our backup 9. Love him, but it’s that gap again.
