Fair call, but still, Paraguay can't have had Grella playing them on Saturday if they think it was all that bad.

Well, apart from Wiremu's sudden attack of the st00pid, that was a much better second half. Deserved at least a goal.

Well done Welly for getting such a good crowd on Tuesday night in sh*t-tacular weather. Next friendly in Chch and the skinheads and prostitute-killers can show us all how it's done.

Reid's tackle as bad, if not worse than Grella's v NZ.

At least since the earthquake, with the sewage being discharged into the river, you don't have to murder the prostitutes before you throw them in. Oh, and steer clear of the cheap whitebait!

Was a great second half (minus the shocking tackle from Reid). Probably the best half of football I have seen from the All Whites in my lifetime considering the level of the opposition.

Crowd wise, I don't think its too bad for a Tuesday night.

What are the consequences of a red card in a friendly, will Reid miss our next game/s (whenever they might be) or anything?

Oh well. Glad we got to touch the ball in the second half, even if I could only watch the first...

Siggy's penno + Wiremu's red + Vicelich generally looking lost = we really, really need Ryan Nelsen.

CHECKED THE WHOLE GAME IN ARGENTINA

GREAT  2 ND HALF,  THE WHOLE TEAM IMPROVED ....  PARAGUAY WAS  TAKEN AWAY.....BROWN AND Elliott  WERE   RUNNING   THE 2ND HALF FOR ME.....VICELICH WAS  OK  FOR ME THE BEST DEFENDER OF THE BACK 3

BROWN WAS VERY  UNLUCKY ON THAT ONE COULD HAVE CHANGED THE GAME...

I THINK  BEST PLAYERS   WERE

1  Elliott
2 BROCKIE
3 BERTOS
4 KILLEN
5 BROWN

VICELLICH AND REID  WERE OK..  TIM  BROWN  HAD  A GOOD 2 ND HALF AS MC G   AND WOOD

WOOD IS N THE LEARNING CURVE STILL

THE REASON OF THE RESULT  THE SILLY  PENALTY  GIVEN AWAY  SO CHEAP....

THAT WAS IN NZ BEST MOMMENT

MORE GAMES  FOR ALL WHITES PLEASE ....!!!!

THE SPANISH COMMENTS SAID THAT NZ WAS THE BETTER TEAM  BY FAR ON THE 2 ND HALF...UNLUCKY NOT TO GET A GOAL....AND THEY  REMARK  Elliott AND BROWN  PERFORMANCE IN THAT 2 ND HALF

WELLINGTON PHOENIX  MUST SIGN Elliott  HE IS  A GREAT  MIDFIELDER EVEN AT 36...HE CAN KEEP ON PLAYING UNTIL HE IS  40

I enjoyed that game. Lots of promise for the future. Nice to see an All Whites side being positive. Good crowd for the Welly gang considering a Tuesday night.
2nd half we were so much better especially when we decided to press paraguay in their half. We didnt do that at all in the first half.
Chris Killen had a superb game I thought.
Cant wait till we next get to see the boys again.

Some thoughts on the match:

- We were shit in the first half, but looked great in the second. Wonder what the difference was.

- If we had a world class finisher we could trouble most international teams.

- Elliottt still does exceptionally well for an unemployed 36 year old journeyman.

- We need to develop another Nelsen-esque leader at the back.

- It was great to see Mossy get a run.

- Was the 'I got Wood to 99 on FIFA' sign made by Whooooooo?

Three for me, and two for them.

sorry my fault

about  reid   he  kicked at the same player that  went  very  dangerous on him  5 minutos AGO,  when  he tried < a long ball...the paraguayan went on pressure with  a 2 leg effort on him

so  he was  eye for eye  that is  football culture

paraguayans are very  dirty  players  !!!

1 st half  vera should be booked by the clown almost injured brown on a  counter attack  very hard

regards  from  argentina

Spot on Buffister.

Thought Wee Mac was quality in the 2nd half.

If only we had 5-7 other players in Europe or overseas in top leagues. We could be quite a force.

Just back from the game great atmosphere but I thought we were 2nd best for most of the game but had our chances. We didn't seem to have an idea of what to do with the ball when we had it , that will come I think as long as we keep getting games at this level.

We missed Ryan big time and I'm not sure what game everyone else was watching but Bertos did not have a good game, his decision making was poor throughout, tried to run through 3 players time and again when he should have crossed or played the easy ball. At A League level it might have worked but at this level it wont. He will learn though I guess.

Brockie has come a long way in the last 2 seasons and played well, Elliott had another good game. All in all good experience for us but we need more of these games to improve.

Jamie Cross was a very poor choice as ref he was not up to controlling a game at this level and it showed.

Crowd figure?

I think the difference between the halves was that in the first half we dropped off as soon as Paraguay got the ball whilst they pressured us whenever we got it. In the second half we started to press hard all over the park and forced errors and won a ton of spilt ball and poor passes under pressure.

On tv it looked different to me. I thought we did very well in the second half and created lots of chances. Didnt think the ref was really that bad and the game flowed pretty well. Ive never liked Brockie but I have to change my opinion, he has improved a ton in the last couple of years.
Bertos kept slowing down when he recieved the ball and Paraguay were able to track back easily when he got the ball. the short amount of time Clapham was on he looked like one for the future to me. Wish Kosta was there.
I cannot understand why Christie gets a run.

Not too bad at all, especially considering Nelsen + Smeltzy out. Poor finishing but at least we created a few chances. Seemed in the first half they had 3-4 men always on the last line of defense and we were definitely struggling with that.

Still decent effort, alright crowd for a tuesday too.
