Siggy is simply not up to it and Vicelich can't play 2 games in such a short space of time

When we lack a bit of confidence we just fall to pieces - even Paston is falling down on an easy catch

Looking a bit Confeds Cup-ish unfortunately. Games like this our lack of any real squad depth is very obvious.

I think if Tommy Smith was there it wouldn't be so bad - without 3 starting defenders we are always going to struggle

Plus a couple of our players are of pensionable age. I'm just laying in a stock of excuses in advance!

Even more quietly I'd settle for a loss by no more than two goals.

i am checking  this from  argentina  ...SIGMUND  WORST PLAYER ON THE PITCH

HE GAVE AWAY  A SOFT  PENALTY    WHEN THE GAME WAS NZ THE BETTER SIDE  ...HE IS THE ONE TO BLAME THIS DEFEAT FOR

Elliott  PLAYING  OK, AS  BROCKIE AND BERTOS,  AND KILLEN , VICELLICH AND PASTON   THE REST  ARE  VERY VERY  NERVOUS...

SIGMUND IS THE ONE TO BLAME FOR THIS ....VERY BAD TIMING FOR AN INTERNATIONAL  DEFENDER...HE MADE THE  WHOLE TEAM  NERVOUS

Not a bad performance from the guys, but I think Paraguay are teaching us a bit of a lesson in football.

Ramming liberal dribble down your throat since 2009
This forum needs less angst and more Kate Bush threads

To be honest I quite like how they play without Lochhead. I know he is very fit and a natural left sided player but if you are going to play a middle 4 and a back 3, play a midfield 4 and a back 3, not a transplanted defender in that middle 4. I would struggle to find a place for Vicelich if Tommy Smith was playing or alternatively, it would be between Reid and Vicelich for the RB role purely because Vicelich doesn't strike me as laid back as Reid. Reid has that casualness that scares me.

As much as I don't like or rate Brockie, he isn't playing too badly.

I'll add to this that Siggy is a solid defender for A League, but not at international level against teams of this quality. It seems like the Welsh game was a one off.

Brockie has stepped up a level in the last year. He's built on some good late season form for the Fury to now be one of the Jets best players. It's terrific seeing this guy continue to develop, especially when you remember he's still only 23.

WOW.... Brockie is playing out of his skin. But gotta give credit to the keeper. excellent save.

Brockie has easily been our best player the last couple of games. Consider the fact that he's only recently come back from a broken leg + another recent injury...he's doing bloody well
