i'm guessing if you were sold NN tickets, they will be available. but ring ticketek and double check. perhaps even ring a few ticketek offices to double check?

Thatd be ridiculous if theyre not selling the front row.

Guess its fair enough...because we're all hooligans didnt you know

If they sold NN and then the games a sell out, and you don't have a seat you would be able to sue them. I'd ring Ticketek considering the amount of stuff ups they make.

I just got mine, and the PAX thing is 22915, so that sounds about right.

Seems as if they're selling just over 3000 a day (@ 13000 on Sunday), 23000 on Wednesday at the moment.

Only about 12k to go before we're full.

Hope that Bahrain supporter's section fills up too, otherwise there'll be an ugly yellow hole in the crowd. How many seats per aisle?subria2009-10-14 15:06:59

i dont want to get ahead of myself here, but if the 35k sell out, is there a possibility of adding the extra 4k seats? TopLeft?

I'm not entirely sure on the temp seating. It generally only happens if it sells out early or if the sell out is a sure thing. I would think that there will be a few issues to get past for it to happen though. I will ask around tomorrow/friday if i get the chance.

Where would the extra seats be?  can't imagine an extra 4k anywhwere other than on the pitch itself.

yeah on the pitch. we had temp seating out for the all blacks v seth efreca game last year. it ranges from 4 rows on the sides to 7-8 rows on the ends and they also filled up a tunnel (could have been 2). I think that NZF could be happy with 34,500 though to be honest. it might not be worth the hassle for them to put in extra seats. as i said in another post, football supporters - as we all know - tend to be a bit more, lets say 'active', than rugby supporters so seats on the pitch would become a major security risk. i can see 10k people storming the pitch after a 2-1 win to the all whites...

I would fully accept 34,000 full house. Then set up a big screen in Queens wharf, or Courtney place.

Trouble is some could be a bit more than a kid... you know, fat middle-aged, balding, like those West Ham supporters recently.

Also you've seen how the security body slam women pitch invaders.

I heard on 2ZB this afternoon the NZFA are expecting approx 1000 from Bahrain, including royalty, apparently playing in front of royalty puts extra pressure on the Bahrain players.

Wonder where they will seat the royalty can't see them being with the fans

surely there's no way NZF would risk crowd problems by having seating on the pitch area

a (regular) full house and a big screen in town sounds ideal

if they sold out with two weeks to go, which may well not happen, you would have to seriously consider temp seating if cost effective. bc our tickets are cheaper than rugby it may not be.

cool though to push our record crowd closer to 40k!

ok, lets not get carried away. lets get 30k first, then look at 34.5, anymore we are in dreamland

Yeah still. 12 thousand tickets left to go. And the craziness of the last week will die away pretty quickly. Media stories will dry up, and average folk wont start to care again till a couple days out.

At last, there might be someone at the stadium who can actually pay for four beers and a soggy burger without blinking or swearing at the pricing.  Mind you, someone better tip his Royal Shiekdom off about getting his beer glow on first - not to mention an aisle seat is good for getting to/from tbe bar and the dunnies :)

I think a sellout is a certainty. Ticket sales will probably dip a bit for the next few weeks but once the buildup starts and the teams arrive in town then expect another big rush. Wellingtonians are famous for buying tickets at the last moment. We often get big walk up crowds on the day.

Win or lose, its going to be a huge night for NZ football. We are talking about a million dollar+ gate. Not sure what % NZF gets of the gate but it will be the majority. This will be a huge financial windfall for the game in NZ.

Makes you wonder if we were in Asia and playing WC qualifiers against Australia, Japan etc how much higher the profile of Football would be in this country. Most fans or media are not interested in seeing the AW's play Vanuatu or Fiji.

"About 25,000 tickets to next month's match have been sold, and 5000-6000 tickets are still available to the public" - Dompost this morning.

So who gets the other 4,000 odd tickets? Allocated to clubs?

Also read extra seating will not be set up due to cost - $25 per seat.

That's my worry - how many people will complain loudly on the Sunday after that they could not get in, after walking up to get their tickets on the day? Or missed the first 10 minutes because of queues?

Never ceases to amaze the queue sizes outside the gates with 5-10mins to go before kickoff at a Phoenix game.

I'm guessing they are promotional tickets for radio stations etc and tickets already purchased for travel packages.

Useless people tend to be the most vocal when complaining...

Clubs possibly, away fans for some, travel groups for others.

I doubt they'd put in extra seating, more for security issues than cost.

I find it unlikely that the leader of a devout Muslim nation will be getting a "beer glow" of any kind on. (Well, unless you discount those rumours about what the younger members of the Saudi royal family do when they're away from home...)

Nonetheless the advice is still good - aisle side seat so that HRH can nip off to get a pie and chips at half time quickly.

I wonder if there will be Ailse idol as well - they could get stuck into that.

And for the young Royals maybe the zorb competion?

... for a football match.  RoF has sold out for that other game that is played there.

Great thing about this game is that there will be a huge crowd that will feed of the WN chants and singing and get some real atmosphere going.  It should stay with the attendees and hopefully a good percentage will want to come back and experience that again.

Which they can do for the remaining A-League season!

I will be stoked if everyone gets in to it.
Could be quite a tough ask, I remember at the Galaxy game people just sitting there as the Fever crew were a bit more scattered and it was quite tough and frustrating getting people in the spirit.

Hopefully people will be a bit less reserved and let loose for the boys.
