Some ticketing news - fairly encouraging actually. Given the number of South Africans applying, the majority of the category over-subscriptions will hopefully be the SA-only category-4.
"The third ticketing sales phase, which will conclude with a random draw for oversubscribed matches on 1 February, saw a total of 1,206,865 applications received from 192 countries. Six matches are currently oversubscribed (in all categories), among them the semi-finals and the final. In total, 55 matches are oversubscribed in at least one category.
There was huge interest from South African residents, who accounted for 79 per cent of the total applications received (958,381) in this phase. "

I guess the over-subscribed tickets are probably category 3?
just as well we chose category 2

I hope some are South African residents' only tickets, which are category 4. With them making 79% of the applications there must be a good chance of that being the case for some games.
I'm a bit more optimistic now anyway. Though All the games I applied for were Cat 3 apart from the (NED-NZL round of 16) match in Durban.

Have I left it too late try get on a tour package? I thought heading over for the qualifier woul be enough for me but friends here have convinced me I should go into debt & go for it.

I may have a spare ticket for both of those games Bev, but I still need to sort out exactly what tickets I have, and what I am intending to go to. Should have an idea by the end of month so will keep you posted.
Even if I do have a spare ticket, you are not getting them unless you do another Wellington Podcast.

Hi all,
We are on YF tour and looking to pick up some extra tickets. We are keen to pick up a few extra games if possible, and obviously the latest deadline for purchasing has now closed. Will purchase up to 3 tickets per game, but happy to pick up individual tickets as well.
So, does anyone have spare tickets to:
Netherlands v Denmark
Spain v Honduras
Germany v Ghana
Argentina v Greece
Or any other group games vaguely around Jo'burg area.
Or any Round of 16 games around Jo'burg area (would consider Durban also).
May also be interested in QF games in Jo'burg area too.
