Its actually beyond belief in my view. I think it was Matt Gunn on Radio Sport yesterday who said that its fair to say the AWs v Bahrain is the biggest game of sport any New Zealand team has played this year. It is all over the back of the newspapers, it is all over the front of Stuff.co.nz, it is featured in international media. Incomprehensible.

a bit, mainly due to formation.  heart says 1-2 win due to 3 upfront..brain says 2-2 draw or maybe 3-2 loss.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

So was it on TV3 tonight?
 
I told the wife and kid to shoosh when the sports news came on, and sat there patiently waiting for something about the AW's game.
 
Of course nature always calls at the most inconvenient of times and I sat there with butt clenched and legs crossed for over 5 minutes waiting to see something...anything about the game. It was sheer torture having to succumb to watching segments about Otago vs Waikato, Tasman v Southland, Bathurst and Rugby 7's at the Olympics (Yawn) and I finally had to concede to mother nature and ran to the loo.  
 
If the biggest game in NZ football and/or NZ sport for nearly 30 years come at the expense of all that other sh*te...then 3 news can forget it if I am ever going to watch them again. I'd rather sit on the throne.

Been watching TV3 for years. but have to say, TVNZ has done the better. Itis nuts, just after Radio Sport has done done so incrediably well, All talkback is on the 'Soccer' even outdoing the bogans and their cars.

And the Dom Post, is so awesome to. But the medium where the majority of New Zealanders get thier news, fail to mention it. Gay.

Indeed it was, followed by good roundup of Under 20 WC and then A-League wrap up with goals from both games last night.....it was a football fest....

Unbelievable. I went out of my way to get to a TV tonight to see the hype on the news, thinking it would be the lead story on both channels and possibly followed by another story or two. I'd be embarrassed to be part of either the TVNZ or TV3 news teams. I now think they are totally rubbish and will boycott. f**k them.

haha yep off topic. I had to sit and watch a piece on handball tonight and then some stupid netball thing. they sent that women over to cover that stupid netball tournament yet couldnt give a stuff about all whites. but good on the nz herlad for having a great piece on it this morning

Argh. TVNZ have a man in Miami, top cover the Indy Car. (I mean fair enough, Scott Dixon going for the title)  But obviously, to then not have someone in Mananmamana.

Yeah no problem with them having people in all these places,(Even for that joke of a netball tournament, where the players have come out and said it sucks) But to then say Football is not worthy of a corespondent, is Shocking

No matter what coverage they have tonight, their failure to preview the game is totally inexcusable and unredeemable. It is an absolute disgrace.

Now, of course, the TV networks will be the people thinking they should be first in line for every interview in the build up to the Wellington game. Well, I hope they get told to shove it.

Yeah that is a good point. I hope Ricki and the boys give Tony Smith and the Dom post, an Miles and Radiosport all the interviews and that. Because they really stepped up

Probably the wrong thread. but Marty Devlin did a good show yesterday. Couldn't wait for the game to start after that. Had Rufer on , who was fair fizzing too (lost count of the times he mentioned his Acadamy tho') ..and Sam Malcomson - figuring out the 4--4-2 and Diamond formations after being in the Gantry with TYler for the Pool Chelski game. Brill !
