Transport information for those going to the games at BC Place, Vancouver, along with details of the Fan Festival site.
As mentioned earlier in this thread there are 2 Skytrain stations which will have limited access from usual events.
Also note that Science World will feature the FIFA museum for those wanting to take in the history of the event.

* On match days, Main Street–Science World Station is the best way to reach BC Place Vancouver. This station connects directly to The Last Mile pedestrian route to the stadium’s primary entrance at Carrall Street and Pacific Boulevard.

I have arrived at Redondo Beach (12 miles south of LAX).
The Project Barley Taps and Grill was the first stop last night to meet an old mate from Welly.
A budget friendly pub on the pier with no frills, but friendly staff and vibe.
Great atmosphere for the NBA finals game last night.
Good starting point!
Here for 3 nights before moving closer to Inglewood.
If anyone is in the vicinity I will be wearing my NZ Football cap.

Sustainability and USA 😆
Been state-side for a week pretty much now and the amount of plastic and styrofoam garbage I've been given is something else.
The USA is so far behind Europe and even Australia and NZ it's not even funny.
If anything, having football fans here from all over the world has only made things worse.

Given the huge good vibes around the WC and the sincere displays of not only fans from around the world getting on, but ordinary Americans welcoming them, maybe I was wrong to call for a total boycott. This shames the racist administration rather than giving it a propaganda boost.

- 4:00pm we start to ramp up the energy.
- 5:00pm last drinks and empty onto the street.
- 5:30pm we march together. The route is the same. We will try stay close together and go a slower pace.
- 6:30pm jam out to the DJ playing kiwi classics on the ground floor
- 7:15pm we go together singing to announce our arrival into the stadium
- 7:50pm anthems.

Is anyone else watching Spain Uruguay? My TVNZ stream just changed randomly to the other match, and then as Spain were seconds away from scoring, they cut to a commercial break, and missed the goal entirely?

Just gone overseas, settled in, and two hours from the NZ game I've found that TVNZ+ blocks VPNs. What's even the point

TVNZ+ generally only blocks VPNs on its apps, but it usually works with vpn on laptops and computers - so if you can use a laptop rather than a phone or tablet it should work

Awesome time at BC Place in Vancouver to catch the fan fever walking through Granville St and Gastown to take part in the Kiwi march to stadium. Great vibes from the locals - one asked if this was the entire population of New Zealand? - as we went by. Egypt and Belgian fans there all good banter too. Noise and colour inside the stadium was such a buzz. Totally worth it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you to the All Whites and all involved.

I agree Papakiri. It was truly awesome. I was fortunate enough to be at the LA match against Iran too, A big shout out to the Flying Kiwis and their pre-match organisation and game day implementation. First class. Atmosphere and friendly banter at all games (there was no fan segregation) was amazing, with over 170,000 fans in total seeing the All Whites at the two venues.
A further shout out to the Napier boys and their partners who we saw in LA and Vancouver - a great bunch of folks.

I felt sorry for the boys who had the unbeaten since '82 banner. I was so gutted that it had to put away after our capitulation against Egypt.
Still 4 games unbeaten in the WC for us is nothing to be sniffed at and the vibes at the three matches, the fan friendly kickabouts, the Egyptian ambassador rocking up to the FK Egypt friendly, and for myself refereeing a few of the fan games was a lot of fun.
While taking part in the first march I thought back to the Greece game where I was the only AW fan there, then looked around and saw thousands of AW fans, singing and chanting away, what a buzz. Bring on the LA Olympics and 2030!

I hope everyone that travelled to Vancouver had a great time. I made it to four host cities on my travels following Canada and I thought the atmosphere in Vancouver was the best I experienced. It was wonderful to meet so many Kiwis while our nations crossed paths in the city. I came into the tournament with a lot of cynicism and not nearly as much enthusiasm as I would have imagined for a "home" World Cup, but in the end I had an incredible time and it felt like everyone was enjoying themselves immensely.
So cheers to all of you who travelled for making the World Cup the joyous experience it was and to the All Whites for playing in one of the best matches of the tournament. Probably scant consolation now, but it was a tremendous opening match that won you plenty of admirers.

I would agree re vancouver. We went to LA, Dallas, Houston & Vancouver.
While stadiums were better in the States the city of Vancouver felt more like a world cup city. Truely enjoyed it excluding Homeless fent zombies.
We stayed North VC and I think I could happily move there if not for house costs
