The land of my birth and fine upbringing, has defeated a country close to you this weekend of lust and pleasure. I spend much of my time in Antipodes, I watch Spanish youth, they outplay, extremely outplay team of green and gold.

We do best work to assist your country to progress, but to no luck.

I bid you happiness and minimum of soreness from forehead in future season with Phoenix.

think he was better off at West Brom and getting himself a chance at Premiership football...

Its a one month loan to a club with big injury problems up front. Seems like a positive to me as he should get a fair bit of Championship football(and maybe Europe) in that time.

"The last group of U-20's had certain strengths that we tried to maximise, whereas this group is quite different, we've got the ability to play through the thirds and retain the ball at the back.

"We'll take a possession-based approach, working on the principle that we can control the tempo of the game with the ball.  That way we'll also be able to control how much energy we expend in the game and deny our opposition the ball," said Milicich.

yes because picking 5 midfielders really suggests that.

Suprised Ken Yamamoto missed out. Starting for Canty United and looking pretty solid.

Interesting squad and bemused Tim Payne gets the nod to warm the bench for the All Whites and not be in this team.

Squad numbers would suggest this starting line up

  • 1-Scott BASALAJ (Team Wellington, New Zealand)
  • 2-Storm ROUX (Perth Glory, Australia)
  • 3-Bill TUILOMA (Birkenhead United, New Zealand)
  • 4-Simon ARMS (Auckland City, New Zealand)
  • 5-Luke ADAMS (Derby County, England)
  •  6-Tom BISS (Team Wellington, New Zealand)
  • 7-Cameron HOWIESON (Burnley, England)
  • 8-Jesse EDGE (Waikato FC, New Zealand)
  • 11-Louis FENTON (Wellington Phoenix, Australia)
  • 9-Hamish WATSON (Team Wellington, New Zealand)
  • 10-Tyler BOYD (Wellington Phoenix, Australia)?

Squad numbers mean nothing  - Luke Rowe played in number 16 and Adam Thomas 20... started every games last campaign

How the likes of Fenton, Boyd and Howieson go against players their own age will be a good indicator as to how good these guys could be.

Turner a big shock. 5 goals in asb

I'm stoked for Joel, but Yamamoto is certainly a better player than him.

Rory Turner???? Jesus..... If thats the guy you think is unfortunate to miss out, then you are watching the wrong players.

How good is Elia? is he a wide forward/mid like Yamamoto or more a CF?

Tim Payne may've declined to be a part of it - you never know what goes on behind closed doors. He's trying to cement his spot in the UK

By that rationale, Milos Nicolic is a quality striker too cause he was top scorer for Waikato 2 years ago. Use your eyes. Ordinary footballer at best, very lazy, quite petulant.

My over-riding recollection of Elia is that he's quick.  Very quick.  Although i haven't seen him since last season.
