Does Sweden have FIFA windows? Henderson could be a possibility.

Pretty much every league in the world adheres to the international windows, including Sweden. But as this is not an A international, don't think his club would be under the obligation to release him.

Ours as in A-League and/or ASB Premiership?  I know A-League is pretty rubbish at recognising windows but is NZ the same?

I think they let teams request a postponement if 3 or more players are called out to international duty.

Better wait for it to be confirmed by NZF first: http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/8668847/Saudi-games-news-to-me-says-McKavanagh

McKavanagh is hopeful that a New Zealand "A" team can play a friendly against Jordan in the June international window: "That hasn't been confirmed yet either, we've got a few little things to tidy up with that.

"It's a game that we certainly want to play and we have a relationship with Jordan which is off the back of the 2009 qualification programme when we played against them before we went up to the Bahrain playoff," he said.

Why is Neil Emblen coaching this game? Is this a trial match for him?

If we are going to have a few local options in the team. maybe Merrick should pop up and have a look at them in training?

Absolutely it will be rather bare with many AWs resting post season and under 20s away

Shame it is not the All Whites not the 'A' side.

NZ side played well under him at the Olympics

From what I heard on the forums atleast was that the players were generally impressed with Emblem and his understanding of the game / coaching.

I don't see Barbs coiming back for the game.

I wonder if they will look to give any of the u17's a run out. Patterson perhaps for a 30 min cameo. They have their WC coming up as well so it might be a good chance for some of them to have a run out against quality opposition.

This game v Jordan is Tuesday June 4. The u-20's don't get together till June 7 and play Young Socceroos in a friendly June 10.

Interesting that there aren't more NZ based All Whites in the squad. Guess NZF are going to be using this as a trial, rather than a "get all the players we are able to together for training" game.

Interesting. One of the most intriguing selections is Dura. No other first choice All Whites are in the squad so why him?

He's not first choice either.

Very poor decision by New Zeland football. In fact I'm really pissed off at this squad announcement. They could have quite easily included Smeltz, Moss, Little Mac, Lochead and Bertos. This lot coupled with Ivan and Durnate would likely be 7 out of the 11 starting team for the qualifiers. Due to stuffing up the confed cup we are short of games. Jordan are a decent squad and to have 7 of your starting team playing a game is a no brainer. Then again I don't think there is a lot of the grey matter at NZ football. I won't be going to this game out of principle.

Perhaps technically not but I don't think many would disagree he's one of our best central defenders and his position in the All Whites isn't really in question.

I also forgot Vicelich but that's understandable due to playing local football.

The also rand need international game time or there will never be an opportunity to be seen. Or exposed to this type of opposition  until it is a nessesity.

Interesting to see whether he goes 4-2-3-1 and gets them to pass it a bit or apes Ricki and goes larry longball.

Moss still coming back from injury. Pretty sure Lochhead is too.

I guess the likes of Bright and Henderson couldn't be released but would have liked to have seen those two in action. Also, interesting some of the U20 boys made it. What is Jake Butler like?

I would be very surprised if he was 1st choice in a starting XI.

How does Christie get picked??????

The guy has not played for how long due to injury and not been able to find a club professionally so has just landed back in NZ to play.

Why him over Mulligan for example, atleast Mulligan has been playing. Or what about the other NZ midfielders playing at the moment overseas who might be worth looking at again or giving a decent run.

Would have rather seen picked any of the following players - Payne, Keat, James, Henderson and Fitzgerald.
And Scott over Tuiloma or Roux... the guy had his chances, is not up to scratch so lets blood a potential future all white.

Terrible squad - either pick a strong NZ side to develop the national team, or select a young side full of potential to see if they can make the step up.... don't rehash players we know don't have it in them.
