I hate to sling the blame on one player but we lost because of our keeper.  We should have won that. Thats now the worst display I have ever seen from a Kiwi keeper.

It's just extraordinary. It's so bad I don't believe my eyes.

Sorry Woud, but that is particularly atrocious. I'd probably sub him.

It looked clear with 30 mins to go that Woud was going to give up a goal, but didn't realise how badly and two of them.

i remember, when jason batty did his thing against australia in a world cup qualifier, wanting to run on to the field and punch him in the face.

Woud has had a shocker. It happens to young keepers, and I'm hoping he doesn't lose his confidence and gets past this. However I still blame Hay for destroying the kiwi age group team that played the best football I've ever seen NZ play. Despite the errors from the keeper, we just haven't looked that good. A Cacace wonder goal and counter attacking width play while spending most of the game defending isn't NZ making progress, its the same old shark. 

It fudgeing sucks.  Our 2 were amazing goals, 2 of their 3 were our defensive blunders and the third an ok shot and a below average defensive attempt from an exhausted keeper.

We played too deep and asked for trouble, but the reality is, had the keeper been half decent, we would have won.

I have never seen a better example of a single player costing a team a game than I have unfortunately witnessed tonight. He made 2, maybe 3 good saves, but 3 completely amateur mistakes.

He has to be dropped for the next game. Lets hope Romania wins and rotates their squad against us, safe in knowing they are through.

I was one of them. Honestly, it was so bad (compared to how I've seen him play in other matches) I think it's possible he was match fixing.

 That was absolutely the best football I have ever seen a Kiwi team play.  Losing Buckingham was a massive loss.

It showed for the first time that NZ players aren't just physical lumps, that we actually have the technical skill to play attractive, passing football. I mean we thumped basically the same Honduras squad 5 - 1 two years ago. I may be mistaken, but we didnt lose Des right? Hay basically kicked him to the curb?

Needed more goals. We had the chances in first. 
Without Reid and with the skill the Hondurans showed we were always guna concede somewhere. 
Poor at the end of the first half. Poor game management. 
Still onto the next one. This team has plenty of talent. We getting Boxall or what? He makes a big difference today.  

I hate this style of play, I thought we had moved past this crap. Boring shark hoofball with an outright defensive mindset from the get go. Play with 4 at the back and push an extra midfielder in. Right out of the Ricki Herbert play book. 

Woud has got heaps of talent but seems to be a bit up himself and gets very cocky at times.  It's a shame he can't be at full professional attention for a whole game.

But also Honduras were getting on top of us and looking likely, maybe would've equalised even with our keeper playing well, but we wouldn't have lost for sure.
