Having someone at the front starting the chants or songs would help a lot too. We will be a mess.

I've tried to do this at Karaoke, the rhythms bloody difficult!

What about if (when) we score a goal, we could all chant Allah Achbar...or am I risking a fatwah being placed on me.....Oh God is Great, especially if we win.

At the risk of sounding cheesy (or dumb if it's already been posted) why not scare the bejeesus out those poor little sand boys by getting the whole crowd to perform a haka after their national anthem has been played.

I dont think the all whites would look very intimidating doing it, but imagine the opposition when 37,000 people a chanting ka mate just as theyre about to kick off the ball.

And.. a haka is meant to be a challenge, and this one would not only be to Bahrain, but to our boys as well. A challenge for them to win.

It would be good if the entire crowd got behind it, but that'll never actually happen, even if WN did it Bahrain wouldn't even take notice.

for a haka, bugger the supporters doing it. we should just have a"tribe" do it for NZ.

if you want imitation that would probably do it.

I wonder what FIFA's stance on that would be... Might be considered too intimidating? I could imagine some countries getting quite upset at having a haka thrown at them.

i dont think so, we can call the ref a w**ker, aussies cheats (although thats just stating the obvious).

Also, im pretty sure i heard some guy at the Bahrain match performing a native chant over the intercom..

how about 35000 people singing the national anthem?? ive seen apoel lefkosia do it at a basketball game vs some turkish club its pretty intense.

i think the people here have made it clear they are against anything that could be cultrally insensative, but if you want to zedned do it just God might get angry you are taking the piss.

i have a feeling a few pissed people will bust into a haka anyway - its almost bound to happen

I am in favour of some one (or more) putting their hand(s) up to lead chants just I am not going to be at the zone (missed out) but I will be trying my best to "rark up" the crowd in the aisle im in.

although that said everyone in WN will know the chants anyway.......

Most folks will proably not join in, except for the most simple of chants (i.e. the old All-whites clap-clap-clap horror). Remember what it was like for the first few nix games, when many people just looked on curiously at the YF zone.

It's better that a couple of thousand hard core fan have a wide selection of witty chants with loads of different tunes. 2 thousand can drown out the whole park, no problem. Watch any EPL game on TV. loud away fans can always be heard, even when they only occupy 5% of the ground.

I dont know, i think the preseason match vs sydney was pretty mean aye there were only about 4-500 of us chanting but as i said ITS ENGLISH we all speak it so theres no excuse

WARZYCHA,i think you have to understand that not everyone will be there to "chant" rather just to watch the game. Also to most people there, itll be a completely new thing to them, and a completely new atmosphere. Theyre not going to just click straight into it in a one off game.

Kiwis are TOO conservative. They need a rocket up the jackseat  to chant. The chant is the essence of the game. 36000 chanting in unison Wooohoooo!!!!! victory is ours!!!!!!!!! kiwiMalaysia422009-11-06 00:07:49

Never. Going. To. Happen.

Even in the UK and all over the world, the entire crowd doesnt chant the entire time, they have the ones they know where it happens, but thats about it. People can go to a football game and happily not chant,a majority so here.

Better with no singer - makes the crowd sing it, and you can really hear it.
