Such a funny comment, everytime I read that I laugh.  Oh the sarcasm!

Sky emailed me back saying they have the rights for the warm up games, looks like they just not showing them

I'm still trying to make my mind up over heading to SA (will make the decision this evening UK time).

If I don't go does anyone know if iraqtv, or TVNZ streaming is avable here, or even better whether sky or Setanta might be showing the games?

Any ideas would be very helpful.

Assume you are thinking of going to SA for the Confeds, not the Friendly's?

All Confederation cup games are on BBC3 for those of you in the UK with a freeview box.

Well I don't think it is being shown in NZ either.

Unless someone can watch on one of the dodgy internet webcasts.

Does anyone at least know a website that also might give text updates, and possession/shots on goal etc stats?

Ignore my posts. the site I was looking at has just stopped updating and has said FT only.

Which means, they probably didn't have a source themselves.

What crap!

I thought it was just my iPod not working - gag bed sounds good. Hopefully will wake up to a Shane Smetlz hattrick and a Wood brace on debut. 5-1 is my pick :D

what odds was the betting site giving?

bookies usually know best, perhaps we should settle for their prediction...

Looks like the betting sites had Tanzania as strong favourites. NZ paying at least $3 for the win, from what I can find. Unless... they are offering live odds, but I can't find the score anywhere!

Am very worried by this result.  It was a strong team that started and if this is the best we can do against 103 what will happen against 1 & 2?

what was the starting line up

ok...enough is enough.

i am starting to think we are all in a dream world!

What right do we even have to be at the confeds cup and this close to qualifying for the world cup.

Our last 3 games...losses to fiji, thailand and tanzania. We must be a joke to other nations.

i love the all whites and will always dream of the day we are consistantly competitive...but where do we really deserve to be.

sorry...just come back from a few drinks to see this result...blame the alcohol for my negative comments.

If we build it, they will come...

Great...so pretty much all our best players were used and this is the best result we could get.

I say...bring on spain!

Think this is a poor result but on the otherhand it is only warm up and maybe they now have time to gel before the step up to quality opposition or else it could go to double digits. We aren't that good anyway but to lose to a nation behind us and a name like that is a worry.

Im not reading anything into this result. If you had been folowing the headlines you would know the team has been hit pretty hard with a bug, so im assuming theier preaprations and fitness took a big hit.

Spose we will lose to f**king Botswana next.

Three for me, and two for them.

If we do beat Botswana i believe it will be our first international friendly win since 2006 (against Georgia). Added incentive

Brown and Lochhead were largely over the bug anyway.  I'd expect our U-23 Olympic team to beat Tanzania.  No disrespect to Tanzania either.  Wow, not impressed at all.  Thing is with a full strength side NZ are pretty strong and should be able to beat any team outside of the top 60 in FIFA rankings (and some countries higher).

Basically yeah, I'm reading a lot into this.

I'm not reading too much into the result. The team have only just come together, some of them arriving only the day before the game, and a couple of them not 100% healthy too. It was basically a training game, conditions would have been pretty energy sapping (i.e. hot) and the winning goal was scored in the last minute. Sounds like they've had hassles too with training facilities, so not an ideal build up as yet.

Be positive.

Time to retire that bad-luck-black kit and go back to winning-White?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
