Seen a few Mexicans around town. It would be cool if somehow we could get a AW's Supporters vs Mexican supporters kick around at Waitangi park downtown.....not sure how it could be organised but I remember that YF played Victory supporters a while back ??????
The Mexicans are our guests this week and we should do everything to make sure they have a good time in Wellington(in a non anal way)

MC Bryan Waddle and former All White David Chote will host 1982 coach John Adshead, captain Steve Sumner, Oceania Player of the Century Wynton Rufer and 2010 goalkeeping hero Mark Paston for an entertaining panel. Several other All Whites from the squads will also be present. Concluding the afternoon will be an auction supporting the NZ Football Foundation of rare items, with signed shirts by Pele, Maradona and the Manchester United and Liverpool teams, and a signed All Whites shirt.

Rumbles in the dressing room perhaps. Once a coach starts deflecting poor performances from himself onto the players like Ricki has then you can very quickly lose the dressing room.
There are loads of Mexican media in town. Already 5 full camera crews feeding globally not only to Mexico but to Fox sports, ESPN etc. Comments have included how "dead" the centre of Wellington is and how little interest there appears to be from locals.
What the f**k is the "do nothing" Wellington City Council up to? They pushed to get this game. Its free publicity for the city going to millions of people around the world. Why not make some attempt to liven up the downtown area and try and promote the city.
Whats Wellington famous for?....the wind. If we were going to get any local advantage out of this tie then it would be by having three days of gale NW's. That would really unhinge the Mexicans in their preparation . But its flat calm, calm yesterday, calm forecast for tomorrow. Bizarre

Astute observation ... was the same in the past in Australia... in some ways still is but the media is starting to turn in Australia the Drive Bys [WSW] have helped as has ADP etc...
