Feverish is right... $20 max and a tenner for the squids, gerrys and academics... will mean we get a sell out and create some (much needed) excitement for the game (and the Nix will get the rub-off too) so everyone (well, almost) wins.... except for LG (the food will be just as sh!te but the queues will be massive sorry mate).

or $30 per Adult and free for Kids?

Not that I am a pricing expert but it will still be a sellout wouldn't it?

If they present at least two tickets options, the tickets will sell. At least the crowds think that have a choice on the type of tickets they could get.

Can someone explain why wellington people were so keen to get the games?, You have the worst football stadium (round) and seriously its a one in 25 years game who cares where it was, i would expect everyone on here to travel to ends of the earth to see this game. Just wondering about this really.

He has a point, although worst is a big call seeing as he comes from the city with a running track around one stadium and a half-arsed cricket ground for the other.

Rectangle stadium > Oval stadium but Well Stadium location >>>> North Harbour Stadium location.  Hamilton isn't quite so clear cut.

Hamilton has the best stadium in the country for Football/Rugby in terms of the fact it is purpose built, Hamilton is also quickly developing a reputation for doing events very well. Its also a central city stadium, accessible easily from Auckland and Wellington as well as being a main trunk line which makes flights easy.
To me Wellington was the sensible choice but I think there were very good arguments for Hamilton, Auckland not so much and ChCh even less so it was with surprise that I saw it came down to Auckland, Wgtn and Chch.
I don't know what the plans are that the Fever have been developing around this game but I think this thing needs some serious planning, need to make sure everyone knows the songs going into the game (I hate to say it but either a mid week meet up or song sheets, well at least at the pub prior, are necessary) We only get one chance at this game, its not like we can slowly work our way into the season. Though we will be in the midst of a Nix season so we should be developing some good rhythm as it were

I took the kids to the San Siro to watch Inter play Siena in May. We were in the top of the stand behind the goals and you are miles from the pitch and need binoculars, but in terms of atmosphere I've never seen anything like it.

The stadium might be round but the viewing is exceptional and the atmosphere created can be amazing. A full crowd and whoevr we're up against will know the AW's have got the crowd behind them.

Word is there'll be "early-bird" prices for those who buy tickets before a certain date.

That's a good concept Piney but they need to tread very carefully on what that price point is.

With regards premier international sporting events these days, you would be lucky to get tickets to most of them for below 40-50, NZF need to make a clear decision that the best thing for the team is to have a massive crowd behind them making noise rather than a national federation with a bit more money in the bank because they sold 15,000 tickets at 60bucks a pop

Olympic Park has a running track and no roof over some areas.  It's QEII in disguise.

Responses from visiting players and Phoenix players have indicated that you can generate some decent noise at the stadium.

The point you make Thinker is a fair one, you can have all the noise you like but it might get lost a bit in a stadium like Westpac but put that level of noise in a rectangular stadium and that noise suddenly becomes intimidating

Well I can't wait when Dunedin Stadium is built. I think that crowd sound effects will be great at some of the sporting events including soccer if they get a few matches.
