Sky have got their first promo on that Youtube

I'm as biased as any towards City, but that's a LOT of city coverage.

Goldmine for gif though.

Also, is anyone else expecting this to be a less good (Scribe-less) version of the inaugural A-League commercial?

yeah, there will be a decent cringe factor in there i'm sure, but i'm still at the 'anything will do' phase

I guess, with a lack of actual footage, it's hard to get the sort of Match Of The Day look to it.

If the deal continues next year, maybe there'll be match footage spliced in...

"IT'S A STEAL"

I recently got Sky TV put back on for the A-League, ASB Premiership, Champions League etc.

Only $39 / month including Sky Sport !!! Six month contract to take you to the end of the ASB Premiership and A-League.

Plus free My Sky + for a year.

You can get Sky Basic plus Sport for only $39 / month by phoning this marketing company who work for Sky:

Phone 0800 475 988

You might have to keep phoning back until someone answers (what I did) and can also leave a message for them.

Probably better to phone on a week day too.

Only a six month contract but you can get the reduced price for one year.

In other words you can terminate it after six months or if you want, carry on getting the reduced price and free My Sky + for one year.

(You probably will have to give Sky TV some notice before they will disconnect you)

Note that you can't get this offer by phoning the standard Sky TV numbers, only the number above.

Offer open to anyone who has never had Sky or (like me) has not had Sky TV in the last 60 days (minimum period of 30 days notice plus 60 days with Sky disconnected)

Offers which the marketing company has going:

Free My Sky + for a year with all offers:

Sky Basic = $29 / month

Sky Basic + one premium channel package (e.g. Sport or Movies) = $39 / month

Sky Basic + two premium channels = $49 / month

HD ticket $10 extra / month

You contact the Icon marketing company at the number above to arrange your connection and thereafter, once connected, contact Sky TV at their numbers / email to deal with anything else.

My biased match report from the Charity Cup on ITBOT...

If you're at your team's game and fancy bashing together a biased match report of your own, let me or Enzo know!

Te Atawhai H-W looks ready already to step into Ivan's shoes imo. Would be interesting to hear how he rates Ramon as a coach v Hudson.

Yeah, dead impressed with Te Atawhai so far and you're right, a tall midfielder with a good passing range and heading ability - does sound Ivanesque.

I know we're now in the telly, but what the fudge is Sky Sports Facebook post saying "who's the best looking player in the League"??? And the photo is a goodie too.

Unsure which thread I should put this in but the state of the QBE stadium pitch is atrocious . On another note instead of the presenters going through the starting line ups they just got the two coaches to go through them, great stuff sky.

I just posted this on the Waitakere thread. I wonder why it is so bad, Better get it right for the 5th

Watching a bit of the first ASB game on sky today, waitakere vs aucks at QBE - if that pitch is the standard of deck in NZ then the future of football in this country is already fudgeed! What a mess, patchy, bumpy just God aweful!

Players of the quality of Ifill will not come to New Zealand to play in this.

If we want top quality professional football in NZ we have to support the Phoenix or it will set us back a long long way as a football nation.

It's good that this is being broadcast, and that may lead to a growth in support, sponsorship and standards, but we need to be in the A league.

The pitch has been resown after North Harbour's season finished, but was an absolute sandpit. Kiwitea and, dare I say it, Fred Taylor would have been a better bloody surface.

I actually thought that was a nice touch - also thought having Mark Stafford there from TAB gave the broadcast legitimacy.

Pity about the field - looking forward to the monday night show!

Game was ok, better than last time ASBP was on TV i think - plenty to build on, hope the numbers viewing were ok (could hear the ACFC fans through the broadcast and they sounded good)

My voice is fudged!

Sky Sports 3, 7:30pm for the Highlights show. Repeated at 9:30pm.

Hope there's something on YouTube too, I don't have fancy telly.

I'd swear Micah tried this classic during the second half...
