Haha Irving would have been fine, he can speak English and has an easy-to-find track record of his former clubs.

Reckon it could be reasonably close tomorrow, Auckland to close it out late, 3-1 or 4-2.

yeah it was more tongue in cheek than anything else.. lol

Surprisingly he's easier to understand than the two Scots at WaiBOP and the South Americans at Narra.

Speaking of - keen to hear from any ACFC or TW fans on how Irving goes tomorrow, I'm kinda invested in his success after talking a big game, I truly reckon he could be an option for the Nix, and the All Whites in the future if he sticks around. So any other opinions will be valued.

When I have watched him, he makes it all look very very simple and easy. I think your Phoenix call is solid.

cause no one ever gets serious about women's football - you have to get serious somewhere.

'Cause further down the same page, Chopah, you'll find the name Marquez, with no international clearance next to it, even though he came from abroad.

Someone somewhere's got some explaining to do, because this inconsistency in applying the rules where international clearances are concerned (Irving compared to Marquez) is bound to have repercussions further down the track for a wide range of people, not least club volunteers such as yourself, who diligently address such paperwork. Ultimately, it means more work for you, through no fault of your own. #thatswhysoserious

yeah i know about the Marquez thing - that's why i made the Irving joke...

but yes it isn't that good to hear some clubs are not doing the right thing (of course in the interests of being fair we don't know if he needed one yet).

If Irving's got as much talent as JR's got passion (women's football) he'll end up captaining the All Whites.

For what it's worth and what I've seen so far Irving's the goods. ACFC better have him nailed down as he'll be gone by next transfer window. It's obvious the lads played at a decent level.

So those in Wellington interested in football get yourself down to DF Park Sunday ....... then post your feedback on him and the game against ACFC afterwards. BTW, David Brown if 'allowed' to play is quality also.

Spud probably making a point about where Browne fits in Ramon's striking pecking order.

Btw I believe Ramon has to cull 2 players from his squad for the trip to Morocco. Sorry for those two.

Safe to say if Auckland City fail to go unbeaten this season they will have failed miserably.

Head and shoulders above everyone else.

Three for me, and two for them.

You're probably right. I pick Rory turner and Adam McG to be left at home.

Ahhh crap. I do too. Sorry everyone, I brought the missus along to the game and had to leave before full time. A thousand humble apologies.
Was impressed with your repertoire during the game btw. The chap in the flat cap has a tremendous dancing style also.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

The missus comes first.  Ah, well, introduce yourself when you're at Kiwitea St, or come up to the clubrooms.  It's pretty obvious which ones we are.

But I love Australian football, why would I be at Kiwitea Street ever :)

Yes do Smithy, you'll be most welcome. It's a very friendly clubhouse.

Because we do a great paella and you can wash it down with a pint of Margarita, all served by a chap with a broad Croatian accent.

wow  man, this mcgeorge is a mysterious man.

has played a hand full of games for the all whites, went to the olympics, was apparently being watched closely by graeme arnold, but seems to be about 80th pick at auckland

is anyone more informed that me able to fill us in on what the story is there?

is he any good?

He is at best, an ASBP footballer. His AW call up was an outlier.
